Well obvious atheists had to think about God when they were studying the theology and history to realize that organized religions are bunk...
Is there any time you think about Rah? Odin? Krishna? I doubt it, because I doubt you know anything about these deities.

Yes I did, when my son was severely burned. (He survived and is doing very well now). I was already a non believer, but I thought maybe I should ask God for help, you know just in case he existed. Since I wanted the best for my child, I did everything within my power. I prayed, I consulted an Indian Medicine man and my child made a miraculous recovery. (His doctor even wrote about it in the American Medical Journal). Do I thank God for any of it? No, not really. I think it is the power of positive thinking, not prayer, that makes things happen.
If God did have something to do with his recovery, show me proof. I believe his doctor and his caregivers were the one who saved him.
Because if there is a God, why did he get burned in the first place??? Give me a believable answer to that and I will think about it.

Yes, I do think about the God mythology. I am an amateur historian, specializing in the mid-Ninteenth century American Civil War experience. It was a time of tremendous turmoil throughout the land, and religion played a prominent role. I study and discuss that role with folks who avail themselves of my expertise. I don't pass judgment on the religious of that period, but I do not otherwise think much about the God myth - and by the way - as a young man I attended a Bible college - Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Oregon.

I am not an atheist but I am in the company of many of them and I knew them well, so I reply!
They think about the God only on the strong point that how come the non existing God could change people so much in their attitude and aptitude!

Whenever I fly, I WISH there was a god. I'm afraid of flying, and it's more than a little nerve-wracking not to be able to pray to someone to keep the plane from crashing.
Sometimes I'll think about different religious beliefs, and ponder whether or not a god could exist...but in general, no, I don't think about any gods.

To be truthful.. the only time I think about God and religion (in any sense) is when I'm on Yahoo!ANSWERS. It doesn't cross my mind otherwise.. there's no real need to. I live my life day to day, do what needs to be done: school, homework, gymnastics, track, work and bills. It's not that I don't have time either - I just don't really think about it; God/religion doesn't bother me, I don't bother it, kinda' deal. :D

Why would I think about something that doesn't exist? The concept of god ruined most of my life. I really don't care to think about the hell that put me through. I have good reason to hate god and christians, but I don't. God doesn't exist there fore I don't think about that.

We live in a society where expressing disbelief in God is not socially acceptable.
Do you really think a professed atheist could be elected president of the US?

Yes, I consider how religion might have originated, and I think about how I might go about reinterpreting some of the stories in modernized versions when writing.
