Any examples?

Is it me or are most theologists answers to almost every religious question to quote what they have been told rather than apply their own logic.

Maybe it was just harder to sell the 'good news book of logic'?

Allan Shore's (James Spader) tirade on ast night's episode of Boston Legal was reminiscent of Nazi propaganda. Is this the opening volley in a new wave of open anti-semitism?

btw: The writing on Boston Legal has never been friendly to religion in America, but this episode was far more egregious.

Boy, it can be lonely at the top.....:)

Women, where are you on the apple tree?

About what we each believe? Do you not realize how foolish we all look especially to non Christians and non believers? They are having a field day with this. Shouldn't we be more focused on other things instead such as spreading the message that Jesus wanted us to share with others? Isn't God the only one who can truly judge any of us when it's all said and done? Shouldn't we also be showing people what a Christian is supposed to be? That's why I don't spend much time here to be quite honest with all of you.

My father was not really a part of my life growing up. My parents divorced when I was 7 and prior to the divorce my dad would pretty much work, come home and then watch sports. He didn't take much interest in his kids. He was very violent and constantly yelling at my mom or his children, on more then one occasion he got physical with my mom or siblings. I kind of grew up being afraid of him. He really wasn't much of my life all through school, only showing up to some sporting events and in my view more interested in women then his kids.

Now that I am an adult I don't really talk to my dad, months go by, maybe even a year and we don't talk. Recently we spoke and he asked me why I didn't want to have a relationship with him and that he was sad he daughter didn't want to get to know him.

I want to forgive him, but I don't want to be hurt anymore and I don't want to be mistreated either...How do you go about putting a relationship like this back together or should you try?

Supernatural Manifestation in Photograph Said to Change Drug-User's Life
[Joe] is convinced that the photo captured the demon associated with his drugs, and praying for deliverance, he now carries the picture with him as a reminder, and shares with others the reality of evil, especially as it relates to drug addictions.

Teresa Neumann (November 7, 2007)

(Aurora, Colorado)—Many people are probably familiar with what I call the "bubble" phenomenon. It occurs when pictures are developed and they reveal floating, iridescent spheres that were not visible to the naked eye at the time the photograph was taken.

That said, I must admit I initially had reservations about this particular article because of the subject matter, and the manner in which the news presented the story of drug-user Joe Martinez of Aurora, Colorado, in which a photograph of him reveals the presence of a "demon." I also, at first, questioned the fact that the news commentators used phrases such as "paranormal" to describe it (can we expect any differently from a secular report?), and ran the picture in question by paranormal research society "experts" to determine if it was authentic. They were, by the way, stumped.

Watching the news video, however, led me to deem this story worthy of viewing.

The photograph in question is, well, chilling...whether one is a Christian or not. It was snapped eight years ago at a 50th anniversary reception for Martinez' in-laws. At the time, briefly glancing at the photo, nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary, and it was filed away with other photographs in an album.

Martinez was apparently a heavy drug user, not only at the time the photo was taken, but up until recently, when he and another family member rediscovered the photograph while reminiscing. It was then, upon closer inspection, that a clearly wolf-like face was seen peering out from behind Martinez' left shoulder.

The remarkable thing about this story is that it has reportedly changed Joe's life. He is convinced that the photo captured the demon associated with his drugs, and praying for deliverance, he now carries the picture with him as a reminder, and shares with others the reality of evil, especially as it relates to drug addictions.

I'm an 18 year old English girl and what i was wondering if High school is anything like the way it's portrayed on t.v. like with different social cliques who don't get along with each other etc. What clique are you or were you in at High school? I know it's a stupid question but in my school it wasn't like that and i'm just curious! Thanks!

This royal throne of kings, this scepter'd isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall,
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England

I just read a little bit of what Phillip Pullmans book The "Golden Compass" is about hearinga lot about the movie. And I gotta say, for a guy who claim religion and religious people put out a lot of hate and EVIL. He's sure doing a pretty good job himself! Bill Maher has a documentary coming out next year thats suppose to bashing faith and God as well. Not to mention the endless book and what not.

If you're someone who believes in God whether of an organized faith or not. If you're a spiriutal person. Does this stuff offend you? Does it bother you? Or is this just apart of the consumer culture we live in?

I visit a 94 year old English widow once, twice a week. She's legally blind and almost stone deaf. Nonetheless, this does not stand in her way: she has her own apartment which she maintains without help, cooks, watches TV (with difficulty), listens to letters which I've read into her tape recorder, then writes and answers them in a flourishing but crooked manner. She quilts, puts down preserves, is an amazing Scrabble player, goes on bus tours and last but not least, is a member of a walking club. I hate that woman for two reasons: she makes me feel inactive & lazy and secondly, she can beat me in Scrabble, one of my favourite games. Seriously, she is a fantastic inspiration for me and others who sometimes become incapacitated out of boredom. Is there anyone in your life like this feisty old dame?

of them to not call back. I have a friend that I love to death but I call her and it's often 2-3 days before I ever hear from her. So making plans with her is very difficult. I text when I can b/c I know she is busy. However, now she doesnt reply to those. No it's not a blow off. she's always been like this and she does it to others. I want to some how convey to her that her actions are inconsiderate of others.
However, before I do I would like a solid time frame to give her so that she knows when to reply/return phone calls before making others mad.

Thanks

Examples: A rosary hanging on your rear view mirror, a small St. Christopher statue, etc...

Heck, let's even throw in the bumper sticker that says "You Can't Be Both Catholic and Pro-Choice"

I find that one of the best times to pray the rosary is during my morning commute and my vehicle is never without a rosary.

Why do you guys fight about something that the answer will be answered when you die? I mean Christians believe you go to heaven or hell, and atheists believe that the conciseness just ends. So either way one will find out or not. So why fight about it now?
