Supernatural Manifestation in Photograph Said to Change Drug-User's Life
[Joe] is convinced that the photo captured the demon associated with his drugs, and praying for deliverance, he now carries the picture with him as a reminder, and shares with others the reality of evil, especially as it relates to drug addictions.

Teresa Neumann (November 7, 2007)

(Aurora, Colorado)—Many people are probably familiar with what I call the "bubble" phenomenon. It occurs when pictures are developed and they reveal floating, iridescent spheres that were not visible to the naked eye at the time the photograph was taken.

That said, I must admit I initially had reservations about this particular article because of the subject matter, and the manner in which the news presented the story of drug-user Joe Martinez of Aurora, Colorado, in which a photograph of him reveals the presence of a "demon." I also, at first, questioned the fact that the news commentators used phrases such as "paranormal" to describe it (can we expect any differently from a secular report?), and ran the picture in question by paranormal research society "experts" to determine if it was authentic. They were, by the way, stumped.

Watching the news video, however, led me to deem this story worthy of viewing.

The photograph in question is, well, chilling...whether one is a Christian or not. It was snapped eight years ago at a 50th anniversary reception for Martinez' in-laws. At the time, briefly glancing at the photo, nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary, and it was filed away with other photographs in an album.

Martinez was apparently a heavy drug user, not only at the time the photo was taken, but up until recently, when he and another family member rediscovered the photograph while reminiscing. It was then, upon closer inspection, that a clearly wolf-like face was seen peering out from behind Martinez' left shoulder.

The remarkable thing about this story is that it has reportedly changed Joe's life. He is convinced that the photo captured the demon associated with his drugs, and praying for deliverance, he now carries the picture with him as a reminder, and shares with others the reality of evil, especially as it relates to drug addictions.

There are so many ways that something can appear in an image taken by a camera that "was not visible to the human eye". Those bubbles you talk about, I would check your lighting to begin with. Light reflecting off of the lens can cause all sorts of weird effects. Also, check to make sure the lens is clean. Also realize that a speck of dust is pretty small but when it is on the camera lens it will appear quite big.

Also, have you ever sat around and looked at the clouds and could make out images in them. I saw one one time that looked like a pretty cool dragon. What does this mean? It means that the human mind will try to find patterns even when there are none. I did not see a dragon. I saw a cloud that resembled a dragon and my mind was able to put the pieces together and make the connection. Seeing images in photographs that are out of place can sometimes happen because of this.

Next up is the good old doctored picture. These days it is very simple. Get a good program and you can monkey with the picture and make all sorts of things happen. There are some people pretty skilled in this. Another version of this is to take a regular picture and then change the details of the story under which it was taken. Go on Snopes and you will find lots of pictures people have done this to.

You did not provide a link but someone else did. I have to tell you, do not depend on the World Net Daily for your news. Do you grab the Daily Sun or some of the other check out rags and believe that BatBoy is getting married? World Net Daily is just as bad as those. They will run anything whether it is true or not.

Well, you didn't provide a link, and your question was so long winded I couldn't be bothered to read the whole thing.

That being said, I see faces in clouds, in the tile on my bathroom floor, in the shapes of trees all the time. The human is a pattern seeking animal, and it is quite natural to try and "connect the dots" when we see random things.

Also, heavy drug users have been known to hallucinate on occasion. Most of them keep using drugs though. Good for him if his hallucination scared him into quitting drugs...it doesn't require the insertion of a deity or demon though, or even the creation of an Urban Myth.

It was a dog.

There is also the legend of the drug user who kicked the habit by adopting the code of a Klingon warrior.

Who cares how users get clean, so long as they do?

Where is the link?

I think people see what they want to see, frankly.

edit -- LOL now that I have seen it. It is very obviously a dog. Also laughing at the caliber of "news"paper it came from -- quality stuff, there!

If you see the picture, it's just a dog standing behind a man. It's not a wolf-like face, it's a dog. It looks a lot like a black lab.

The brain likes to make pictures out of variable patterns. That's why we like to find "shapes" in clouds.
