My girlfriends parents asked us to attend a church dinner that they were also invited to go to, they don't attend the church they just didn't want to go alone. Having Christian beliefs myself I agreed, my girlfriend agreed and the dinner is tonight.

I used to attend this church, before I was out... in fact I was dating a guy who was VERY good friends with someone who worked for the church.

I am sure I have nothing to worry about as it's been over a year, but I can't help but feel very nervous and scared about going back with my girlfriend. What do you think? Do you think I have any reason to be nervous?

how is the mormon religion different in africa than america?
are they only there to convert people or do they study there too?
ANYTHING you can tell me about mormons in africa would be FANTASTIC

look,theres this girl who thinks shes the queen and im sitting down eating lunch and out of the bloom she says that is the ugliest shirt then i say shutup and she says u dont tell me to shut up then i keep sayin shut up and she says what what all i hear is woop!i need some AWESOME comebacks to make her back down.btw im it takes place in the 5th grade

I feel i got no one to talk to (i kind of don't) ....
...and last night i wanted to cry..
but was too tired and sleepy...
why? fam. problems... etc.
I want to talk to God... but,.. I don't know why i haven't...
my work isn't so hard and it don't get me tired...
but i've been feeling so sleepy and tired...
AND ...i do NOT...want to end up depressed.. or am i already?...

so yeah... i feel lonely :(

im in 10th grade and were started to give speeches!! tomarrow i have to tell a random story to my class for 1-2 minutes..and i cant read it or anything,just stand up and just tell a story...but i dont know a story so i was wondering if anyone had an interesting story or something funny or embarresing tht i could use as a story or if u had to do this what did u say?? i really need help becouse i cant think of a story..it doesnt have to be long it could be somethng short ..just enough to say in like 1 minute...thanks

why cant he just perform miracles for everyone and prove to them that he exists? doesnt he realize how many people go to hell for not believing? and doesnt he realize how many people dont believe because they havent seen miracles?

I mean yeah he turned into Jesus, turned water into wine, etc and whatnot but that was several years ago. if he would perform miracles again then I would start believing in god. so why cant he just do us all a favor and prove himself to all of us?

I will be going to see my friends pastor, and i would like to have certain issues to discuss with him. I want him to explain to me for example, predestination, and evolution... What can i ask or debate over? What could i possibly ask him that might leave him without an answer or that might be difficult to answer?

I consider it to be education. We give catholics usable information that they can tailor to their personal situations. It's very different from therapy and much more than entertainment.

Are you careful here on Y/As? You know what Im talking about. I try VERY hard to be!!!!!!! This place is full of some dangerous stuff! So how careful are you????? I hope all JWs here take the proper steps to be careful here because I would hate for us to be reading some dangerous stuff here.... I try to skip it all, and I do a lot of blocking. So how careful are you? Sometimes I can't believe the questions that get asked here. Wow! We truly are living in the last days and we are objects of hatred! So I just thought I would ask how careful are you here? Also, have you had any postive experiences from answering here?
