Yeah but I just keep smiling and hope it is contagious.
Remember...it takes 6 muscles in your face to make a frown but only one in your hand to reach out and slap that sucker.

Oh yes don't even get me started on this one. I could blow steam from my ears thinking about it. Last year I was dropping my kids off at school and having a conversation with another Mum (and 4 or 5 others). The following day I walked past her. I smiled and said hello AND SHE BLANKED ME!!! My vendetta is huge, how dare she be so rude to me (or anyone for that matter). And to top it all, she aint all that - I wouldn't chose her as a friend. I was just BEING POLITE!!!

Maybe they are having a hard day. I used to do that alot and then when I got people who didn't smile back I stopped now I only smile when someone smiles with me.

We cant help those type of people maybe its the way that they are being brought up in or the society they are being brought up in.
I no hate would come into the picture because your kindness was not being rewarded. Anyway keep doing what you being doing cause one day someone will smile back to you.

Sure, it's annoying, but you never know if the evils are coming out for you or some other reason that you don't know about.
Maybe they just stepped in dog crap, or maybe their cat died or they spilled the coffee they just bought or any number of things.
Me, I give them the benefit of the doubt, I try not to give the evils back and I sure don't let theirs bring me down and maybe the next time I see them, they'll be cool the second time around.

Ya, I usually always smile at people unless I dont notice them at all. A smile can go a long way, so I always smile even if I am the first to do it!!

Maybe they just found out they have cancer. my point being, you never know what is going on with them. They have a right not to smile back, just like you have the right to keep on smiling.

Well.... some people are just mean. Watch them do that with their mother around and she'll shove that purse so far up their a** they'll choke on it. People are just acting like what they think is cool or funny.

Because people who are miserable want you to feel just as bad as them. They want to roll around in there pain and will take anyone with them. People don't want to suffer alone. No mater how big or small

No I don't hate it when they do that. I just take it to mean they've other things on their mind of more consequence (to them at least,) than exchanging inane pleasantries with strangers.
