I consider it to be education. We give catholics usable information that they can tailor to their personal situations. It's very different from therapy and much more than entertainment.

I assume you mean Roman Catholics, as, an Anglican Episcopalian, we care considered Holy Catholics.

There is one teeny, tiny, itty, bitty problem with your theory in that "usable" information is not always accurate information.

As an example:

Usable Information: Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ on Easter.

Accurate Information: Some time in the 1300s, some pope decided he had had enough of pagans undermining the authority and dictums of the church, particularly with their gay celebration of the goddess Estes, so even though Christ was crucified in September or October (because the thorns for his crown would not have been around in March or April), it was decided that Easter (after the pagan goddess of fertility, Estes) should co-incide with those fun pagan celebrations of flowers, eggs, bunnies, etc. It was an effort by the Roman Catholic church to spiff up their image from being dour and nasty. (Actually, someone got smart and decided to "go with the flow.")

Now, tell a RC usable information, and they will dutifully incorporate it into their beliefs as if it were actually written in the bible. Tell them accurate information, and hoo-wee!, what a show of upset, protest, and red-faced sputterings! Now, THAT is entertaining!

You have no idea the whiplash I almost got from that avatar..ugh. Stop picking on the Catholics, what did they ever do to you? You'd be surprised how intelligent many Catholics are if you actually paid attention. Me: former Catholic, don't miss it but don't like it when people dis it.

You are a big fat fake! Hey guys, notice there is no "official" badge under his avatar. You are using Dr. Phil's picture and representing yourself as someone you're not. Just wanted to point that out to anyone who still thinks Dr. Phil is acting like a horse's *** on YA- the real Dr. Phil is not that immature.

You know, oddly enough, I find the catholics more tolerable than the rest of the christians. Start reading some of the things they say.

Uh no. I don't think Catholics need anything they are fine the way they are. If you don't like it that's okay we don't all have to believe the same thing.

I consider it to be an attempt at education. Do people at YA really take answers to heart?

Response to DonnaF :
That's because most Catholics don't have real faith because the Catholic church distorts the gospel.
The people that irritate you are giving you the truth and the truth is the actual cause of your irritation.

Oh Phil you rascal! Some of my best moments were in a catholic church! Like the time I had my first communion, and I wasn't even catholic! My buddy had to go to church. We were about 15 years old, and I went along with him, and he asked, "You want communion?" I said I don't know what to do? He told me to just go up, the priest was going to say some bullhooey and just say amen and he sticks a wafer on your tongue. It was a blast!

Let's put a Catholic in a series of random chaos and see them pray their way out of it: it's entertainment.
