I want honest answers, I want answers that say more than yes or no. I want you to explain why you think it will or wont be around. I will tell you why I am asking this.

I was sitting at home today and was on the floor wrapping my pennies,( laugh at me all you want i honestly dont care but when money is tight, hey an extra dollar here and there helps.) and I actually thought about this for a while. Our society today, other than a select few and elderly rarely use anything smaller than a dime. If one drops in the parking lot at wal-mart they dont bother picking it up.

So I ask you, will the penny still be around come 10, 20, 30 years? Will change still be around?

I feel that change still will be around but it will be converted into something larger..instead of having dimes or pennies, we will have a bigger coin worth 40 cents and it would just go up from there.

How do you feel about this. Remember, honest answers and please explain yourself.

I am a black male and I live in the south and sadly, there are still some dumb people living here. I am the father of three children two girls and one boy. I don't care what race of person my childiren brings home as long as they treat each other right. My sister married a white male and he treats her better and any of her ex-black boy friends. I have a niece and two nephews that are mixed black and hispanic. I personally have NO PROBLEMS with mixed couples and I thank GOD my family doesn't either.

parent and friends can stand a baby up and maybe try to hold it's hand to help it learn to walk,but when the baby's hand is let go,the child must ultimately decide to move it's legs and feet to walk or if it's just gonna fall back down to the ground and continue to crawl at best.
So also while theist can teach and tell atheist and agnostics about God,Satan,heaven,hell,prayer ect ect. we cant hold there hands all the time and it ultimately falls on the individual to decide to have faith and excercise their spirit or not have faith and go back to the sin dominated life and acheive moderate success compared to what they could have If they would of trusted and God and been obedient.

he not only expects you to go to church every sunday but he expects you to believe in him and he doesnt give you any signs at all whatsoever. he wants you to worship him and the thing is you have no way of knowing if he exists.

then to top it off, the bible which is supposed to be the word of god isnt supposed to be taken literally and we have to interpret it the right way. not to mention there's so many different versions of it.

and if you dont accept his son or you dont believe in him wholeheartedly he gets mad and sends you to hell when an omniponent god should know d@mn well that some people refuse to believe something without any proof or signals.

I have been working on a project related to end-times theology (post-tribulation, pre-wrath rapture) and have done a bit of study the past couple years on the so-called "prophecies of St. Malachy," a set of prophecies attributed to a 12th-century monk that lists characteristics of each pope from the time that Malachy received these prophecies until the end of time. From the time that Malachy received these prophecies until the end of the world, there would be 112 more popes, and then the end of the world will come, according to these prophecies. Benedict XVI is the 111th pope in this chronology. I'd like some information on the Catholic Church's theology on the end times and the second coming of Christ so I can try to tie together Malachy's prophecies--I'm not saying whether or not they have merit, just that they'll soon be the subject of a lot of discussion, IMO--with Biblical passages and prophecies pertaining to the end times.

I know this might not be the best place to get answers from actual JW's, but I'm hoping some of you will read this question. I'm so busy and stressed that I'm thinking about seeing a doctor for some type of medication. I go to school full time, I have a job, I go to the meetings three days a week, try to go in field service at least once a week and there's a sister studying with me 1 day a week. Not to mention I do have a home and husband. I've been a part of the organization my entire life, but I've never been this stressed out until recently after I got married and moved to another congregation. My old congregation wasnt this demanding. I feel like other people are constantly making plans and volunteering me to do things at times when I can't come because I work retail so I'm not off on weekends and then they seem to try to pressure me to squeeze it in anyway. I'm getting to where it's feeling so demanding that I really don't want to go at all. Any suggestions?

Today is my 20th birthday, and I usually don't cellebrate it, because I have had bad experiences in the past (family anf friends forgetting ect.) but was so excited up untill about an hour ago.
I was going to go out for dinner tonight with my best friend, her bf, my fiancee and a few acqauitances. I hardly ever get to see her because her bf doesn't like her seeing her friends.
Now she has conjunctivitis and she can't come.
I'm so sick of feeling let down on my birthday, even though it's not her fault. So now I'm not doing anything becasue she was the whole reason I wanted to, and now I just feel really lonley.

I don't want to feel sorry for myself, so what do you think I should do to get out of this bad mood. I really want to enjoy my birthday and for once not have a terrible day.

What is the point of their education? They are already retired. Even if they get their degrees, who will hire them? Should there be separate schools for senior citizens? You views, please. I mean no disrespect to those of you who are older adults. I ask out of sincerity & concern for overcrowded Colleges with a large student body that is under the age of 25.

I've slept with a Rosary everynight for four months. It started out by me having really horrible nightmares, then when I slept with the Rosary they stopped (and hav yet to return). The catholic campus minister said he believes Mary is watching over me while I sleep, so I try to say the Rosary everynight (doesnt always workout that way). Im habbit forming and only use my blue one at night and its missing! I completly cleaned the room and its no where to be found.

It may sound stupid to some, but I really need it back and I'm not sure what to do or where else to look.
