I've slept with a Rosary everynight for four months. It started out by me having really horrible nightmares, then when I slept with the Rosary they stopped (and hav yet to return). The catholic campus minister said he believes Mary is watching over me while I sleep, so I try to say the Rosary everynight (doesnt always workout that way). Im habbit forming and only use my blue one at night and its missing! I completly cleaned the room and its no where to be found.

It may sound stupid to some, but I really need it back and I'm not sure what to do or where else to look.

Its not that I NEED it ro pray, or that Ill have nightmares without it- I (1) say the Rosary at night and (2) hold it while I sleep, its comforting

Take off all the sheets and covers and shake them out. Also check under the bed and between the boxsprings/ bed frame.
Good Luck!

BTW- Saint Anthony is the Patron Saint of lost things.

Seems like a lot of people misconstrued the question as asking what their opinions on rosaries were. I'm sorry that some people can't answer the simplest questions without forcing their beliefs on you.

hey lil missy - i understand completely! i had a blue one too! it saw me through some real hellish nightmares. it' sbeen 30 years and i still remember them vividly. i lost mine when i was about 26 - my purse was stolen & it was inside. do you have another one? can you get one? if you need one - let me know i'll send you one. i would recommend looking between the mattress & wall & bed & furniture. also look under all the furniture becuas ein the dark it could have gotten pushed under another piece.
here's the thing..... ask God for help finding it then let it go. He will bring it back to you when you most need.
in the interim just pray using your fingers and praying along. have you ever seen the pieta by michelangelo. while it's a sad statue because it shows Mary holding Christ (we know the ending so.....). think of you being held by our Lady - Christ gave her to us as a Mother afterall. what Mother won't be there to hold and comfort you?! she'll hold you and carry your burdens to Christ.

God bless & keep you!

PS - if you would, why are you having nightmares?

I think that God used the Rosary to bring you closer to him. You do not need the Rosary to pray, just pray straight to God and ask him to keep your nightmares away without the aid of the Rosary. God is with you even without a symbol of religion.

Eek. I usually find things where I least expect them...and then remember I put them in a "safe" place. Do you have a nightstand where it could be crammed into a crevice? Do you have a cat? If you have a cat, then start looking EVERYWHERE! Those darn kitties like to play with everything they aren't supposed to!

Which is the saint of lost things? I forget...

I not have it. :-(
Try looking at the head of the bed. It may have fell between the headboard and mattress. Also be sure it not hanging there if you not see it on the floor.

Why do Catholics insist on denying the omnipotence of The All Mighty? Where in the entire Bible does Jesus of any of the disciples say to pray to Mary or anyone other than God the Father or God the Son? Just show me one single reference, please!!!
