If you're in a crowded college lecture taking notes on your laptop, and you just laid a "silent but deadly" fart... what do you do?

It's my husbands 69th birthday, well it is in the uk cos it's now a minute past midnight.

I was thinking of getting him some rubber gloves as a present as a hint that I'd like him to do the dishes more so I can spend extra time on ya. Would this be a good idea or have you a more suitable suggestion?

No cheeky answers this is just a bit of fun and I will be giving him a real present as well lol x

I am really interested in Islam, but I am not a Muslim. I want to learn a lot about Islam, but not through the net. Can anyone suggest really good ways for me to learn about it. Please, don't say something like Read. I am looking for really good books or places etc. etc. Can I actually go to a Mosque and talk directly to a Imam? Is that aloud? Would it be insulting in anyway?

For those of you that believe in Jesus, I'm wondering--what do you think Jesus and his family did on his birthday?? Was it different, or celebrated differently, than most birthdays of the time??

[[I know this is an odd question; I don't mean it as a trolling question. I'm just curious as to whether anything has ever been determined about Jesus' birthday.]]

Is it likely that the surname "Tahan" is of Jewish derivation? Or more likely to be gentile? Just curious. Thanks.

Two men each age 57.
Grew up together, same area, same school.
Their lives mirror one another.
They both attend the same Church.
One talks about the Love, Grace and Mercy of Jesus Christ.
The other talks of Hell-Fire and Damnation, judgment.
I can't help but wonder why???

I was "baptized" (spinkled) when I was 4 after a sledding accident by my grandmother because she thought I was going to die.

I grew up in a theist-friendly yet non-religious house, eventually became an atheist.

I was baptized (emmersed) according to the Scriptures as an adult believer later in life when I realized the whole Jesus thing.

Currently, Im a member of Church of Christ. I consider myself a Christian and nothing else. I disagree with many of the catholic church's doctrines for instance pertaining to Mary, the saints, communion, baptism, the authority of church tradition, original sin, etc.

Would I be denied communion? Or am I considered a catholic still? Do you believe Im not saved because I dont attend a catholic church?

Out of all the religions I think you guys really go the extra mile in faith. I mean you guys really live life as if God really exists. I would find it difficult to go to Bible meetings 3 times a week consistently and go preaching on Saturdays or everyday.

I really want to trust God that much and put my life in his hands but I don't have that type of faith. What can I do to gain more faith as if God is really here?

According to the Gospel of Mark (Mark 3:19-21, 31), during the period when Jesus was preaching, Mary and his brothers believed that he was mentally ill, or "out of his mind" as per the KJV. The Gospel of John comments that "neither did his brothers believe in him" (John 7:5). Jesus, in turn, rejected them (Mark 3:31-35, Matthew 12:46-50, Luke 8:19-21).

Apparently, Mary, the mother of Jesus, forgot the visits of angels, magi, and shepherds. The prophecies of Anna and Simeon completely slipped her mind. Most of all Mary seems to have forgotten her own impregnation by the Holy Spirit.

At the High School I attended, being Christian wasn't the cool thing. We believers had to endure great mocking and occasionally even physical abuse from the popular crowd. One of the very worst was a member of the football team. He would always make very crude jokes is classes and often singled me out for particular derision, even going so far as to tell people that I was gay for Christ. Worse, he also seduced a very nice Christian girl, causing her to be disowned by her family and eventually hospitalized for a mental breakdown.

Now fast forward 10 years. I am living in a nearby city, a respected member of my congregation and suddenly a few months ago that same football player from my high school has started attending my church. Of course he is playing the big reformed sinner role to the hilt. Every week he gets up to testify about how bad he was, but now he has found God. Everybody buys it and it is driving me crazy. How can I show people what he's really like?

Does anyone else find stereotyping sooo wrong? Everyone has the right to be who they want to be without being labeled by someone else. I don't think that I really fit into ANY of the groups above....If I HAD to label myself, it would probably be prep, but how does anyone else decide that? You can't decide for somebody what they are, especially since you never know if they are showing you the real them in the first place.
Just a rant.
=)

I had another account deleted entirely because some people actually push that report button until you're gone. It's not the IP address, because those change often (I often purposely change them to keep the trolls at bay), so multiple accounts is out and is against the rules. In the nearly 2 days I had the account and another one for 2 months I said nothing to insult anyone and, questions, didn't violate any community guidelines. So this means some people are actually so bored with themselves they just keep pressing that report button over and over.

And so I had to eat their arms. I am so upset it's come to this, I need to regain the strength to toss cookies again. The unfairness has rendered me to far . Is there anything I can do? What would you do? No, no, appealing to me. Coz it's true

yes I'm a terrible speller I know that alredy
