Out of all the religions I think you guys really go the extra mile in faith. I mean you guys really live life as if God really exists. I would find it difficult to go to Bible meetings 3 times a week consistently and go preaching on Saturdays or everyday.

I really want to trust God that much and put my life in his hands but I don't have that type of faith. What can I do to gain more faith as if God is really here?

First of all, I want to thank you for such kind and thoughtful words. I'm sure I speak for all the brothers and sisters by saying that we truly appreciate that.

Secondly, I want to commend you for taking interest in learning more about Jehovah God and how you can develop a personal relationship with him. There is a scripture that helps us all figure out how we can come into a relationship with him and thus help us to see that he is real. It's in John 17:3 where it says: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."

So, accurate knowledge about Jehovah is one very important step to coming into a loving relationship with him. Go to your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses or call or you can visit our official website at: www.watchtower.org and request a free home bible study!

You are making Jehovah's heart glad by taking interest in learning about him and please do not give up; you will be blessed tremendously if you continue your course of taking in knowledge of him!

Please, if you have any more questions, feel more than welcome to contact one of Jehovah's Witnesses by means of your local listings or by the website above. May Jehovah bless your efforts!

you have to have a bible study to learn about Jehovah and Jesus Christ. contact a kingdom hall in your neighborhood or www.watchtower.org. many people on here know nothing about us or some have turned there back on Jehovah and Jesus Christ will slander us. be careful. yes some do get disfellowshipped because they did somethings that where wrong, I don't know what. Jehovah knows we are imperfect and will make mistakes, that is why we always ask for forgiveness. yes we do have meetings, we have five meetings a week. two hours on sunday, we listen to a talk from Jehovah that each sunday a different elder, sometimes from our kingdom hall, or a visting elder, then we do the watchtower study, on tuesday we have a book study, some meet at the kingdom hall and some at someone's home, for an hour, now we are doing the revelation book, and on thursday we have a two hour meeting. before you do anything, pray to Jehovah God threw his son Jesus Christ, and they will help you. as you see the ones who turn there back on Jehovah will give Jehovah Witness answers a thumbs down all the time

It takes time and effort to have this type of faith.

The first step in developing any relationship is getting to know more about the person you are interested in. You try to find out everything you can about that person, their character, their feelings, their likes and dislikes, what their plans are for the future.... Studying the Bible is how we get to know Jehovah and what he expects of us. Through the pages of the Bible is how God "talks" to us. http://www.watchtower.org/e/20030215/article_01.htm
In any relationship, if you don't communicate with each other, what happens? The 'friendship' will fall apart, right? So you not only have to "listen" to God through reading and studying the Bible, you also have to take the time to "talk" to Jehovah through prayer. http://www.watchtower.org/e/20020908a/article_01.htm
If you do these two things, you will begin to develop your faith in God.

I hope you find success in your efforts.

All I want to say to you is contact your local JW's and discuss it with them , start a bible study and go along to a few meetings . Make sure you allow yourself a little time to mingle to get to know them all. You may just find yourself longing to go to the next meeting because you enjoyed the learning and the people you meet.
Don't worry about the preaching , it's a bit scary at first but as you grow in your love and knowledge of god you may even look forward to the challenge.
Remember one step at a time. You will not regret it.

By the way Jesus talking about the true follower said by their fruits you will know them , you have seen the difference between JW's and other Christians so bear this in mind when you read posts from others trying to discourage you from following up on your inquiry.

start reading the magazines...the watchtower and Awake....they are helpful to building your faith and they dont entirely always have to be about the bible....they have articles about animals or oil or even current events...also there is an amazing book called 'the greatest man who ever lived" i had the same problem as you..trust me i know how it feels...it sucks when you try real hard but you can never get the sense of faith that others have..i started praying to Jehovah and asked him for faith and as i began reading about him....he became a real person to me......so dont worry it may take some time....but you will reach the level of faith you want...
ask him and he will help you.....remember, just like a charcter in your favorite book becomes real to you and it feels awesome!! having Jehovah as your friend is ever so amazingly awesome.....words cant describe the level of protection ytou feel and how you become more faith-filled...

Heb.11:6 Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please [Him] well, for he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.
Matt.6:31-33 So never be anxious and say, What are we to eat?, or What are we to drink?, or What are we to put on? For all these are the things the nations are eagerly pursuing. For your heavenly Father knows you need all these things. Keep on then seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Pray, read & study the bible and contact your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Christian Witnesses and ask for a bible study. You will find them to be loving and friendly people who are always willing to help.
Pay no attention to those who try to steer you away, for they do not know what we truly beleive; only because of misinformation or their own angry hearts.
Also, go to the official website of Jehovah's Witnesses for more info @ www.watchtower.org.
May Jehovah bless you in your journey.

Study the bible and pray for God's holy spirit and understanding. Live a clean life, and associate with other righteous people. Being at all those meetings can help to keep you out of trouble in this wicked world. Your question is very sincere and refreshing. Nice to hear from honest hearted people.

“faith” basically means total trust—complete, unshakable confidence in God and his promises. It is a quality that marks a disciple of Jesus Christ.

On one occasion, Jesus Christ spoke about the need to pray and “not to give up.” In so doing, he raised a question about whether true faith would exist at all in our day. He asked: “When the Son of man arrives, will he really find this faith on the earth?” Why did he raise such a question?—Luke 18:1, 8,“Seek God . . . and Really Find Him”

To develop faith and trust in someone, you need to know him and to learn how he thinks and acts. This process involves the heart as well as the mind. It is really the same when it comes to developing true faith in God. You need to get to know him, to learn about his qualities and his personality, to find out how trustworthy and dependable he has proved to be in all that he has said and done.—Psalm 9:10; 145:1-21.

Some feel that this is impossible. God, they say, is too distant, too mysterious—if he exists at all. “If God is as real as he seems to be to Christians like Sarah Jayne,” asks the skeptic, “why doesn’t he make himself known to the rest of us?” But is God really too distant and unsearchable? In a speech to the philosophers and intellectuals in Athens, the apostle Paul said that “the God that made the world and all the things in it” has also provided all that is needed to “seek [him] . . . and really find him.” In fact, Paul said: “He is not far off from each one of us.”—Acts 17:24-27.

How, then, can you “seek God . . . and really find him”? Some have done this simply by observing the universe around them. For many, that in itself gives enough evidence to convince them that there must be a Creator. (Psalm 19:1; Isaiah 40:26; Acts 14:16, 17) They feel, as the apostle Paul did, that “[God’s] invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship.”—Romans 1:20; Psalm 104:24.this is how i really feel i trust my god jehovah and i live as tho he was standing next to me every day i also pray cont.

Hello arihaz,

--Your inquiry is commendable, and good suggestions have been given you already, as it seems you believe, Jehovah is the true God!
--Maintain a vigil of prayer as you see opportunities , along with reading the Bible and if you feel comfortable with our literature, and meditate on matters you can assertain are faith strengthening!
--Ask Jehovah SPECIFICALLY through Jesus name for the quality of faith as he advised of the many fruitages of the spirit of Gal. 5:22.

(Luke 11:11-13) “11 Indeed, which father is there among YOU who, if his son asks for a fish, will perhaps hand him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he also asks for an egg, will hand him a scorpion? 13 Therefore, if YOU, although being wicked, know how to give good gifts to YOUR children, how much more so will the Father in heaven give holy spirit to those asking him!””

--AS YOU grow in your faith as the apostles had to, as stated here, and requested Christs help in developing, don't compare yourself with others , but see your own improvement:

(Luke 17:5) “5 Now the apostles said to the Lord: “Give us more faith.””

(Galatians 6:3-4) “. . .For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he is deceiving his own mind. 4 But let each one prove what his own work is, and then he will have cause for exultation in regard to himself alone, and not in comparison with the other person.”

--PLEASE keep in mind that things will come together so to speak as in a RECIPE, as you combine spiritual qualities & activities with Jehovah's help as stated:

(2 Peter 1:5-8) “. . .Yes, for this very reason, by YOUR contributing in response all earnest effort, supply to YOUR faith virtue, to [YOUR] virtue knowledge, 6 to [YOUR] knowledge self-control, to [YOUR] self-control endurance, to [YOUR] endurance godly devotion, 7 to [YOUR] godly devotion brotherly affection, to [YOUR] brotherly affection love. 8 For if these things exist in YOU and overflow, they will prevent YOU from being either inactive or unfruitful regarding the accurate knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. . .”

--AS IS the case of any detailed recipe when things are combined they usually have to be with carefulness to realize a meld!
--AS YOU are able , start with 1 meeting on a regular basis and then improve on it at your pace and go on from there!

--The attitude you are expressing is a big plus in having true faith and the other qualities of God's spirit, will indeed improve
(Galatians 5:22-23) “. . .On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

"May Jehovah favor you (Num. 6:24-26)
