Skip Colorado and go to Jackson Wyoming. It is a small town with tons of atmosphere for Christmas. If you get tired of Jackson, rent a car and drive up to Yellowstone National Park (look at the Buffalo, Bears and Old Faithful Geyser).

But, if you do go to Colorado, be sure to check out the decorations in these cities (if you are close to them):

I used to live in this area --you'll have a lot to do in the Colorado Springs/Denver area. It's close to the mountain resorts so you'll have easy access to all the snow activities. If you want to stay at a resort, Keystone is really nice, and offers snowshoe trails, snowmobiling, and they have a large outdoor lake for ice skating, as well. Skates can be rented onsite.

One super fun event is the Christmas show at the Flying W Ranch in Colorado Springs-it is performed by some cowboy/musicians called The Flying W Wranglers, and is very entertaining. It is a dinner show. If you think you'd like to go, you need to book a reservation within the next couple of days - it fills up. Go to www.flyingw.com

You will definitely see snow up in the mountains.

Steamboat Springs is a ski town which definitely gets lots of snow each winter. If you don't want to ski, then some of the other activities they have there include snowshoeing, dog sled rides, and sleigh rides, among other things. Have fun :-).

just because u r in colorado , doesn't mean u have to ski. The bigger problem is whether or not there will b snow. If u want guaranteed snow, go to alaska.
