While I think some of the others have given some clever advise, I think my initial reaction would be to keep my head down and hope that no one suspected me.

i would carry on regardless and hope that someone else turns red instead (and hence cops the blame!)
my friends dog got gas once - i thought it was friendly when she came and sat at MY feet .............. until she let a coupla deadly ones loose.
We all had to sit with our heads under our armpits until it dispersed it was THAT bad!

Laugh to myself and hope no one suspects me. If I smell it, I will look at someone else as if they did it. Or I will take out my lotion and pretend like I need some just to try to cover the smell =)

I had this happen to me and her is what i did. One I got futher into the notes . um i also ask the proffersor to go the rest room and came back got notes from other students,

Deny everything! If someone asks, just say: "Wasn't me" and put your fingers to your nose. Another option, in case you're accused is to say: OMG man/woman, how could you??

look around. left and right. chose the person you like the least pick the cheek that faces them and waft it gently then more vigorously towards their face. Then smile and say how you like em apples?
