If you are a Christian, would you be offended by a child who dressed as Jesus for Halloween? Or Mary, Joseph, angels, etc??
If you are a Buddhist, would it upset you if you opened your door and a miniature monk cried "Trick or Treat"?
If you are Jewish, and the kid had side curls and a yamulka, would you be offended?
If you are Muslim, and you opened the door, and the kid was dressed up as Muhammad, would you be upset?

I ask because another user asked if Wiccans are upset by the annual display of miniature "witches" in green paint, big noses, warts and pointy hats that mix in with the ghosts and monsters every Halloween...
Evidently, most of them have a good sense of humor about this...for which I, personally, am very grateful, since my classic "look" for Halloween is rather "witchly" (although I don't generally do the huge nose and warts...too much work.)

He was single for 10 years after his divorce before we met and some of his old habits just cant be broke. I have known him now for 5 years and married for 2 and he just refuses to budge. Biggest pet peeve is comes home from work at midnite and doesnt think he has to clean up so when I complained he just started sleeping on the sofa. what to do? I should explain he is addicted to the tv and falls asleep with it on most nites and his job is very dirty . when he was single he hardly ever slept in his bed , the couch was awfully dirty from too much use and got thrown away.

I was raised catholic, but I have not had any experiences in my life that have supported a religous or spiritual lifestyle.
Recently, a good friend who was also the best man at my wedding, wrote a letter by email telling me and our group of friends that he no longer wants to be associated with us because of our differences in our moral standards based on his religious beliefs. He has over the past 2 years been hurtful, dishonest, absent and uncaring. We (our group) kept reaching out and this is how he responded.
How can any good religion promote close mindedness and exclusion of groups based soley on a belief? If love and forgiveness is forefront in all good religions, why is what happened to me and my group of friends such a common story among the very religous? It does not give religion a good name when a very religous person tells you that you aren't good enough to be his friend.

Do you know why it is so easy to doubt God''s existance? Is he there?

Why does He hide from our sight? Why does he let bad things happen?

His invisibility reminds me of the "Where is Waldo" children's books!

Do you know about this hard-to-see Waldo?

Why is he wearing goofy glasses, a funny hat and gaudy striped shirts? What is that symbolizing? Normality?!?

What's up with this "Where's Waldo?" business? He is ALWAYS there on every page of the "Where's Waldo?" book series. It's even been occupying the internet geeks on line (as a joke?).

Is Waldo inspired by the difficulty in seeing God in our earthly days?

Is God a speed cop, hiding behind a billboard, so bad souls will give themselves away to our Holy Judge?

Where is God? Do you see a parallel with a hidden God and "Where's Waldo?"

Why have they not made any good bible movies lately?? they remade the odyssey within the last 5-6 years. I'd like to see one with the nethilium and some of the other monsters for the bible is my second favorite mythology type stuff.
