If you are a Christian, would you be offended by a child who dressed as Jesus for Halloween? Or Mary, Joseph, angels, etc??
If you are a Buddhist, would it upset you if you opened your door and a miniature monk cried "Trick or Treat"?
If you are Jewish, and the kid had side curls and a yamulka, would you be offended?
If you are Muslim, and you opened the door, and the kid was dressed up as Muhammad, would you be upset?

I ask because another user asked if Wiccans are upset by the annual display of miniature "witches" in green paint, big noses, warts and pointy hats that mix in with the ghosts and monsters every Halloween...
Evidently, most of them have a good sense of humor about this...for which I, personally, am very grateful, since my classic "look" for Halloween is rather "witchly" (although I don't generally do the huge nose and warts...too much work.)

I can't speak for other religious traditions, but I wouldn't be offended by kids dressed up as Christian figures.

Wiccan holidays are always co-opted. Christmas is a good example. We Christians seem to have glommed onto that one and turned it into Jesus' birthday from some completely unexplainable reason.

Dress however you want for Halloween. My preference is simply not to celebrate it.

Muslims would certainly be offended by someone dressing up as Mohammed. Many Christians would be offended by someone dressing up as Jesus -- but some would not. Very few would be offended by someone dressing as an Angel.

I'm Christian, I wouldn't like that a child was dressed as Jesus... Angels are ok though.

I remember a number of years ago a church had a "Halloween" party and the children were to dress up as their favorite Bible character. They only did one year though......just didn't seem to mix.

Halloween Night sounds absolutely fun only we don't celebrate it here in Australia.

As far as I am concerned, sure. All Hallows Eve is a man made thing.

It seems to me that the most scary religious figure would be Satan himself.
