I met this mom from my playgroup and we plan on having our kids play together at her house this week. I want to do something nice, what do you think of me bringing a homemade chocolate cake to her house sounds?

I have made this cake on different occassions and the cake is still moist and delicious after many days, unlike some other cakes, that tend to dry out after awhile. The frosting taste like chocolate mousse. I got the recipe from allrecipes.com :-)

Sounds yummy. Can I come?

Doing this means that you are showing the worth that you see in those that you are visiting.

Bringing something is a good idea, but I'd hold off on food products unless you're sure there's no allergies or dietary restrctions.

Perhaps for the first visit, bring a small houseplant or something. OR if you see her beforehand, mention the cake in passing, and check her reaction. If she smiles and says that it sounds GREAT, bring it. If she says it sounds lovely but no one in her house can eat chocolate, go with the plant.

Lovely idea, how thoughtful! but you might want to check to see if the child or the Mom is diabetic before you do. Likely not, but it is also a thoughtful thing to do.
