Yes. But that is true with everything. If it doesn't bother you to kiss people, drink from a fountain, swim in a public pool, sit in a sauna...then shut up.
If it does, just don't do it.

yes its fun but you can definitely spread infections! i work at a recreation center and we are having a festival on halloween night for kids and we really wanted to do bobbing for apples but couldn't because we would have to change the water & apples after every kid.

my best guess is.... yes. It would make sense because you have germs in your mouth, then you are putting your mouth into the water then getting your germs into the water and into all the apples you missed so that the next person who tries will get those germs in their mouth. If your sick it would be a good idea not to do this.

If your so worried about infections, put yourself in a bubble with Micheal Jackson. Why live or try to have fun if your in constant fear of injury, disease, and infections. Take the next flight to Mars. Don't forget your face mask and respirator.

wow never thought about it higly possible although i think infections (like Aids and herpes) aren't traveled through saliva but germs surely are. if you are extremely bothered just pour a little hydrogen peroxide in the water to fight germs..
