Dear _____
For more than three decades Jerusalem has once again been the united capital of the State of Israel. During this time, the Israeli government has acted as guardian of its holy sites – respecting the rights of all religious groups and guaranteeing access for all – Christians, Jews and Muslims. Israel's record in this regard speaks for itself. It stands in sharp contrast to the situation that was created in 1948 at the time of Israel's founding, when Jerusalem was forcibly divided as a result of the invasion of Arab armies. From 1948-1967, Jews could not pray at the Western Wall and Israeli Arabs, both Christian and Muslim were denied access to their holy sites. Religious persecution led to desecration and destruction. This must never be allowed to recur.
Israel has upheld its moral and ethical obligations to the people of the world and has earned the right to retain sovereignty over all of Jerusalem, according to the present boundaries. Please respect a singular ruled city

I accepted Christ in July 1993 and although my walk with Christ hasn't been stellar.....it seems that when I purchased my first pc or computer in October 2001....it opened me to a world of internet pornography and online gay chat rooms where you can meet other guys and hook up.....I know that Christ is coming back soon and I need to be ready....I feel so lost and empty....maybe I don't know Christ???? sometimes I ask myself this....however...I know other Christians struggle with these issues also....I dont think I'm alone....

Not to impugn them, for I thank them for taking the time to point it out, but I feel it strengthens the divide between sexualities. And I feel it implies that we are pitiful, and easily offended, and perhaps we are. But I don't see the need, it's not like I'm going to be hurt if you offend me. I try to answer questions by the question asked and only resort to not doing so when the question is obviously out of line.

But maybe I'm not understanding this. Any insight?

My beautiful Chicago stands on the bank of my L. Michigan, forever beautiful. May be the most beautiful city on earth. It has stolen my heart forever.

I am actually a Brittish citizen, and with globalization I do not have to worry about the hassles South Africans face, if i want to move there.

My question is:
What is the legislation of the state of Illinois regarding homosexuals? Is gay marriage an issue? Is there intense persecution? If so, is it set to change in coming years?

Is moving to Chicago as a gay man a viable option for me?

I know once you accept Jesus as your Savior you go to heaven. Yet in the Bible it says various things that says you aren't truly saved if you don't do this or that. For example the bible states that gay people go to hell because it's a continous sin, yet aren't we all in continous sin. Be it adultery, lying, stealing, and ect., it seem's like all Christians live in continual sin. I know we ask God for forgiveness, but it still confuses me. I am a Christian, but these thoughts just come in my head (also no I'm not gay, I just used it as an example.)

Wouldn't it be better to just say "hey, you shouldn't do that" (and possibly quote some bible verses) be A LOT better than bickering back and forth between each other?

Sure, ALL religions(or the lack there of) have good people and they have bad people.

But should atheists say anti-Christian things just because some Christians say some anti-atheist things?(and vice versa)

I don't think so. I think that when you reply to a hate filled question with hate it only generates MORE hate, often resulting in more hate filled questions being asked!

Why can't we just live and let live, and when someone does something wrong, simply tell them without insulting them??

Someone just asked a question, even though it wasn't really a question, about how they have accepted Jesus and God, and someone replied

"Then you are lost. A wasted life, chasing imaginary phantoms."

Is this uncalled for? If atheists are so free thinking, then why can't atheists like this one be more open minded and "live and let live" or live the expression "to each his own"??

Fasting six days of Shawwaal after the obligatory fast of Ramadaan is Sunnah Mustahabbah, not waajib. It is recommended for the Muslim to fast six days of Shawwaal, and in this there is great virtue and an immense reward. Whoever fasts these six days will have recorded for him a reward as if he had fasted a whole year, as was reported in a saheeh hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Abu Ayyoob (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever fasts Ramadaan and follows it with six days of Shawwaal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.” (Narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nisaa’i and Ibn Maajah). http://english.islamway.com/

Jules: The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
