It seems that, without my trying to arrange it, my friends have decided to come to my house. I'm going to make coq au vin and have appetizers for later. We'll all wear costumes, hand out candy, and take turns taking my kids around trick or treating. The wine will flow, the house is decorated, food and sweets will abound. I guess word got out that the fun's at my house (of course, I'm the only one with kids ;-P). I'm having a party and didn't even set it up!
I probably won't bother with a formal ritual, our actions are celebration enough :-)

Pretty much the same as the question poster. I know that we are giving in to the commercialization of Halloween as much as many Christians give in to the commercialization of Christmas.
There is a Samhain celebration happening an hours drive away with drum circle and bonfire and all. But I dont think we will drive over to participate this year.

I know I do plan ahead - but 6 months in advance is a little silly. We're currently 1/2 way through Spring here planing Beltane (for religious) and Halloween (for secular).
So planning a nonreligious street party for the neighbours to meet each other.

My Mother in Law died earlier this month so I'll be designing a ritual with a focus on honoring her passing.
Geeze, thats a downer, I hope your celebration goes well :) BB

Celebrating my ancestors and those who have passed on recently. I will also give at candy if I am not working at the convalescent hospital and helping them out. Since I am solitary I will do this on my own and enjoy the evening. I may even dress for the occasion!
Blessed Be

It's not a big one for us (Heathens/Asatru) We call it Winters Night, and it doesn't have a specific date, more of a general time period. LOL I know we are doing a small blot and making family recipes in honor of the ancestors. That's about it for us.
