In a mad moment, I decided to finance the republication of a children's book. The plot hinges around a French inscription: "La caverne des morts sera ouverte par les Anglais." (The cave of the dead will be opened by the English."

I decided to write a foreword, in which I pointed out whimsically that the cave had now been re-opened by the English, and using my schoolboy French, came up with "La caverne des morts a été ouverte encore par les Anglais."

The (allegedly) bilingual lady next door passed this, but various colleagues are now suggesting that it should be: "La caverne des morts a été ouverte encore une fois par les Anglais."

Could anyone give authoritative guidance?

I am a Pisces. I recently moved to a coastal area and completely fell in love with the Ocean. I have always been fond of the Ocean but I have become obsessed with it and with surfing although I never had the desire to do it prior to this.
Does this have anything to do with my sign?

Regardless of my will,

I feel hungry , thirsty, sexy.My hair and nail grow ,every cell of my body is changing every second.whether I want it or not.

Even falling in love with somebody is beyond my decosion.I fell in love with someone But still cant figure out what ignited the love .it was there but it was not mine, I mean I couldnt help it.

My mind and body are not much under my control. There is definetely something already in me, maybe we can call it the programm of the universe for us.

Usually programms have their own purposes.
then whats it within us?

Or it is just happening like evolutionists explain?

So I just got married and moved to a small town in Canada...I'm originally from Los Angeles California (the valley to be exact)... some people say how nice it must be to live so close to nature without the pollution of L.A. ( and I do live near lakes, the ocean, trees, mountains... and a place where children can walk to school without being afraid) and others say "OMG! how can you live without a mall? and no place to hang out?" (and I agree too... everything closes at 6..even starbucks closes at 9!) ... what do you think? Where would you rather live? Small town Canada or big city Los Angeles? And also add where you live (small town or big city) and why you chose what you chose.

Do you believe that religion is simply something to make some people feel safe? That they hide behind it because they prefer to not have the scare of what will happen to them in the future? I would really like to hear your opinions. They would be much appreciated thanks!

Christians, needless to say, utterly detest one another; they slander each other constantly with the vilest forms of abuse, and cannot come to any sort of agreement in their teaching. Each sect brands its own, fills the head of its own with deceitful nonsense. --Celsus (178 AD)

The Church says the Earth is flat. But I know that it is round. For I have seen the shadow on the Moon. And I have more faith in a shadow than in the Church. --Magellan

I said, 'Well, there's so much to live for!' He said, 'Like what?' I said, 'Well...are you religious or atheist?' He said, 'Religious.' I said, 'Me too! Are you Christian or Buddhist?' I have very eccentric beliefs when it comes to science and god. most people who believe in god don't believe in the theory of evolution. and most people who do believe in this theory do not believe in god. The believers have nothing to back them up really, and the evolutionist have proof but holes here and there that cant be filled. The way I see, to think that the universe and this life started from nothing but a huge explosion, this unfathomably complex life was just an accident is absurd. However, to deny evidence of evolution simply because the bible says so is irrational.
so my question is this:
why cant both be the reason why we exist?
lets say that god created the FOUNDATIONS for life and from it did we evolve. Like he gave us the chance to be. is this not a rational explanation too?
is there anyone else out there that feels the same or even compelled by the idea?
let me know

Now someone earlier on another blog commented that the reason christians didn't react so blood-thirstily when he portrayed jesus as a pedophile, was because they don't love jesus as much.

Isn't that a bit much like a man who kills his wife for having an affair saying the guys that don't kill just didn't love their wife as much as he did? It's pretty brain damaged reasoning, in my humble opinion.

Anyway, tell me what you think.

if you don't hate it, why are you ignorant of it? or should people conclude that you have your own version of history to suit your hate propaganda?

you don't even know where the Bible came from, how it was preserved, you don't even know where you've inherited your beliefs from, you don't even know how you started, you are even very far from really knowing what the Scripture is saying, name it, what is it that you know, really? basically, your beliefs are just reactionary to the things that don't suit your personal agendas. it is also doubtful that you even know what you're talking about; what you are preaching, and what you are spreading.

Ok, so nearly every time a Christian is mentioned as doing something bad/evil (i.e. Hitler, Crusaders, etc., etc.) they are immediately labeled as "not 'true' Christians"? I mean, didn't Jesus say you should pray for the forgiveness of your sins? So why, then, immediately after someone commits a forgivable sin (like murder) are they no longer a Christian??

It began hundreds of years ago, when the Church changed the Bible. . .

The "New Testament": Pagan revenge

Between G-d's own miracles and the Jewish teaching of His Word, the pagan priest/pastorhoods of Egypt, Greece, and Rome were steadily losing their power over the gentile populations. They decided to fight back by creating a new religion, one that would claim to be the fulfillment of the Hebrew "Old Testament," yet would bring back the pagan lies in a new disguise.

Thus the "New Testament" was written, in Greek rather than Hebrew, and attached to the original Hebrew scriptures to try to change their meaning back toward paganism.

The "New Testament" tried to change G-d from One, as in the Hebrew scriptures, into a "trinity" as in Egyptian cults or the eastern religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. It described Jesus as G-d in a human body, like the pagans always described Pharoah and other wicked kings. It declared G-d's Law to be a "curse" that no one can truly obey, announced that there must be a "mediator" between G-d and man, and pretended that salvation could now be achieved outside the Law.

To blind the gentile nations, the "New Testament" also warned people not to learn from the Jews, declaring that Israel no longer possessed the true, complete Word of G-d.

In the Bible, the book of Daniel warned of an evil power--a false religion--that would believe in the true "G-d of fortresses... plus a god its fathers did not know." This religion would "speak bizarre words about the Most High, wear out the holy ones (the Jews), and plan to change the festivals and the religious Law."7 The Christian Church has indeed replaced Passover with Easter (the pagan holiday of Astarte and Ishtar) and Hanukah with Christmas (the pagan winter holiday).
