Sometimes kids don't drink the wine during the Eucharist...but some do. Why aren't the priests and parents arrested for the enabling of underage drinking?

There is a law against that...so shouldn't they have to pay the price? And no, it's not freedom of religion, because Jews can't kill sheep for sacrifices, and occultists can't kill humans, so why should they be allowed to drink?

don't know how many of you play poker, but i've been watching the WSOP on TV, and the winner this year is a born again christian. when he's in a hand, he prays like crazy to jesus, out loud, saying things like "show us the miracles, prove my faith is real, show them how great you are", things like that.
i remind you they are playing poker for 8 million dollars in cash.
there were even times that the opposing player was praying to jesus too, where both of them were praying for good poker hands so jesus could prove how great he is.

anyone else offended by this? i mean, believe what you want, gamble if you want, i don't care, but asking jesus for good cards? is that respectful?

Are we still supposed to take a wife that proved not to be a virgin back to her fathers door and stone her like the new and the old testaments ordered as commanded by God
Are we still supposed to invade other countries and take the natives of those countries as slaves and make them submit to our will like ordered by Paul presumably as sanctioned by the head honcho himself?
If all that is true and the bible isnt just silly superstition
why is it that the Iraqians are not being sold in our marketplaces as slaves?
Are we a nation of Wimps Not Actually Believing in our Christian roots?
or is Christianity just a lip service religion where you can pick and choose which commands to follow and which commands to merely philosophize about?

My sissy/bf has been in training for about four months now. My family knows of my domme/bdsm tendancies. When they are over I allow "Paige" to dress in men's clothes. However I am tired of the cirade and would like to display my maid. How should I approach both parties in this matter? If there any sissys or dommes who had experience in this matter please contact me.

My husband will be returning home very soon after doing a 15 month deployment to Iraq, as a welcome home gift I purchased his dad a ticket to fly up and see my husband (his son). My husband is very excited, however I am not ...for the simple fact that within the past 10 months my F.I.L. has become VERY VERY religious, every week he goes to a baptist church, a methodist church , a catholic church and he also attends a synagogue. We are all catholics, my husband, son and I do attend church on sundays. But wedont want to listen to what my F.I.L. has to say, he just goes on and on telling us we are going to hell (why im not sure) the world is ending, he called our 15 year old son when i was out one day and told my son that he was going to hell because he plays video games. How can we (me and my husband) make it clear that we do not want to hear about his beliefs, he talks about it ALL the time. My sis in law has completely stopped talking to her dad because of how he is.

I've read several essays and commentaries in the past week that describe eclectic paganism/wicca as insulting to those who follow a strict traditional path, comparing it even to theft.

Is this a commonly shared thought amongst the Pagan community? I didn't realize that there was such animosity between Pagans.

Christians: Imagine for a moment that God has never communicated with you personally (i.e. answered your prayers, guided you, etc.). Now, can you point to any events or situations that would prove to you that the Christian God exists without there being any other possible explanations for those events or situations? Remember, you can’t rely on other people’s accounts of their communications with God because they might be lying or distorting the truth. You need something that will prove to you that this Christian God exists.

I ask you to put yourself in this position so that for a moment, you can see where non-believers are coming from. No God has ever spoken to me. I have never seen anything that could not be explained by science or luck. I have prayed to God and have never had any response. All I have to suggest that the Christian God is real is the word of other people. Can you see where we are coming from? You tell us we have to believe, but you can’t believe something until you have reason to believe it.

What kind of bad things would happen if everyone could clearly see that God existed? (besides that Satan would be lonely)

Evolution is accepted by nearly all scientists... so now we don't even need God for creation.

Logically... God and evil don't even make sense...

What's the point in making all these road-blocks? It would be so much easier if I didn't like to read & think.

Matt 11:25

I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

Archaeologist have found proof of the existence of Jesus. They have been going over their findings with a fine tooth comb for the past 10 years. Top archaeologist world wide have picked over these findings as well. Scientist have too. Although, their findings don't show the existence of God. It does however show a strong existence of Jesus Christ. A peer review, is due to come out.

Now they are ready to reveal their findings to the public. This is big. A panal of archaeologist and scientist are holding an conference to reveal their findings. The conference is expecting to have over 1000s of noted scientist and archaeologist, you name it.

They are giving away 100 tickets to this conference to the general public. If you don't have an invite you don't get in.

How should these tickets be divided up? Atheist, agnostics, believers, or just first come first serve.

This is a HYPTHETICAL QUESTION. If you don't like the question, you don't have to answer. But please, no smart comments or comments saying this question is "unrealistic". I know that. That's why the question is HYPOTHETICAL.

Thanks for your answers.

It seems to me that some theists have a big emotional need to believe in a god, and are quite afraid to accept that no such thing actually exists. They rail against things like evolution, which endanger their fragile beliefs.

How can we show them that reality is not something to be afraid of, and help them grow towards a rational, naturalistic worldview?

I am a Baptist Christian. However, I am looking towards converting to Greek Orthodox because I find their traditions beautiful. They seem to be a cross between Protestantism and Catholicism.

What are some reasons why Greek or even Eastern Orthodoxy is a better choice than Protestant and even Catholic denominations? Specific examples, please.

Is not having faith or not believing in something that is not seen rooted in fear? Is it easier to say something doesn't exist than to live with the idea that you may be wrong? And no, this question is not directed at atheists. Many Christians don't even believe their own bible.

Seeing poor people begging for food makes affluent Americans uncomfortable. Their whole days are sometimes ruined from the experience. What should we do to remove these eyesores from our cities?

I can't remember the name of the guy, but he suggested that we harvest the babies of the poor and feed them to the rich. I mean, this is the proper Christian response, right? These people obviously don't work hard. It makes me uncomfortable when families can't afford to send their kids to college.

I'm looking for ideas, I'm fresh out! I love Halloween and dressing up and I've always had pretty original costumes. Sometimes a bit twisted, but none the less, original. Last year my husband went as OJ and I was dead Nicole. I know, I know, you'll either laugh at that or call me sick and twisted.
