don't know how many of you play poker, but i've been watching the WSOP on TV, and the winner this year is a born again christian. when he's in a hand, he prays like crazy to jesus, out loud, saying things like "show us the miracles, prove my faith is real, show them how great you are", things like that.
i remind you they are playing poker for 8 million dollars in cash.
there were even times that the opposing player was praying to jesus too, where both of them were praying for good poker hands so jesus could prove how great he is.

anyone else offended by this? i mean, believe what you want, gamble if you want, i don't care, but asking jesus for good cards? is that respectful?

Just as long as he blames Jesus when that inside straight doesn't materialize on the river.

NO!!!!! 5) What time should the World Series be played so fans from the East & west Coasts can be satisfied? 7:00 EST No matter where they play

I play poker. I am a Pastor and a Christian.

AND....I find that offensive on so many levels I can't even count that high.

No,it is wrong.The same goes for all sports,people praying their team wins when others are suffering and dying every where.
