My opinion is that you are missing the definition of Society, which is easy to do. A society is a mixture of people with a common outlook, or way of doing things. A society is not an entity in and of itself that shows anthropomorphic qualities of an individual or organized group. Society, as generalized, is not an organized group, so therefore cannot "be interested" in a woman's choice about anything. You either have individuals who chose for themselves, and women who look to other groups, including society as a whole, to influence their decisions. It is still completely the decision of the woman, not one of society.

I wouldn't say that we're "bombarded" with images showing what women are supposed to look like, but they're definitely out there. We acknowledge a woman's right to make decisions about her life, her body, and her clothes, but pick up a magazine any time and you'll see all of the "Best and Worst Dressed" sections. The media thrives on drama, and some of that comes from praising the pretty people and ripping apart people who march to the beat of a different drum. But that's Hollywood. It's an expected evil with them. For real women, while we read those magazines and obsess over our bodies, I think most of us are smart enough to know that none of what you see on film, whether in TV, moves or in print, is real. Anyone can look good with a team of make-up artists, visual effects gurus and airbrushed photos!

We are all bombarded with how we should be and look like from all forms of the media, and this does set various social expectations even if we pay very little attention to the media.
Parts of society are more concerned with individual's plans, goals, and style, but those are often not seen through the media hype.

I really do think the media lies to women by saying that they're fat ( the commercials that advertise weight loss methods), ugly ( you see many of the celebrities with pretty faces- It's all too superficial. No one is perfect. Why don't we tell the truth more often and stop deceiving ourselves?

My concept is strictly the alternative in wording, yet in step with threat comparable in reason. i think of the priority is that cutting-side guy is only too "religious"...only as guy has continually been "too religious"! i think of that a techniques too many human beings at the instant enroll in an synthetic religious doctrine that helps them to do or say despite they go with, to stay their lives in accordance to their very own desires and pursuits, to grant unfastened rein to their very own prejudices and preconceptions, all the whilst keeping off all the implications of their movements via some style of "get out of hell unfastened" card they have been instructed grow to be theirs for the asking. Now interior the previous, the poise and politeness of "social conservatiism" have been a great results of religious doctrines, yet those doctrines had many adverse outcomes that the fewer "polite" cutting-side religious doctrines do no longer proportion (to illustrate in common terms, below the "previous order", there grow to be no place in faith or in God's plan for those that made specific blunders...ever study "The Scarlet Letter"?). ask your self this...might you particularly a individual exhibit poise and politeness whilst burning you on the stake for being a witch (or subjecting you to the inquisition, or telling you to transform or die throughout the time of the crusades, and so on...)...OR...might you particularly have a individual say something impolite or hateful to you whilst acknowledging your precise to go with? I completely agree at the same time with your assessment of a techniques too many cutting-side self-proclaimed Christians...yet once you comprehend and comprehend the learning Christ gave his followers, you besides mght comprehend that the habit of such human beings, the shortcoming of poise, kindness, and charm so obtrusive of their words and movements, are sparkling indicators that the guy should not be seen a valid representative of Christ. individually, I want rudeness and hypocrisy to torture and homicide as a yardstick for following Christ's training to guard against deception via fake prophets!
