This is totally hypotheticaly speaking and I would like serious answers.

If the end of the bible was true, and all the believers just dissapeared, would that actually effect your thinking?

If every believer was gone, just their clothing "left behind", would you assume it was some kind of aleins that took them away? Some country that managed to take every religions human being and hide them?
Or would you say "there is a passage in the bible that said this would happen". Would you use logic to figure out what was going on, or would you still dismiss God with the proof infront of you.

Remember, this is all hypothetical. I just want to know what you would do. Seriously.
The answer "celebrate because all the christians would be gone!" is not serious, its childish.

Atheists, I understand how much this question annoys you because this is not what you believe, and you believe that someone who asks this is retarded.

For me, as a muslim, when you say the Qur'an says kill infidels I think you are retarded.

The verses you refer to were revealed in the middle of a battle after years of the polytheists killing the followers of Muhammad.

If verses were revealed in WW2 what do you think they would say? Kill the Nazis, maybe?! Or do you think they would say turn the other cheek and get slaughtered?

Like whenever there's a housing slump (now), do the prices in Hell also slide? What about when things are on the up and up? Does property start selling like 'hot'cakes? Does Satan authorize all propery transactions? Is fire insurance mandatory?

Do we preach to eachother that if we fail as christians and we die we will go to hell? Where in the bible does it say that believers in Christ go to hell?
The Lord has made some very clear statements in the Book of Matthew regarding his servants who are unfaithful or slothful and untransformed as being cast into the outer darkness.
This place is different from Hell as we can see in the bible. The weeping and gnashing of teeth can confuse us into thinking that it is the same as hell. But it is clearly not.
Can some please share regarding this matter in the word. If there are some scriptural references to strengthen the points brought foward, it would be very much appreciated:)

References regarding the outer darkness are in
Matthew 8:12; 22:13; 25:30

Thank you in advance

Among the U.S. Marines who fought against the Japanese in W W II was 21-yr/o Corporal William Devers, who considered himself an agnostic. No amount of arguing, Bible-quoting or coercion by his fellow Marines or the chaplain could sway him. During the company's first major encounter with the Japanese, a number of the unit were killed and the chaplain was wounded. In great pain, the chaplain called to Devers, "My..left pocket..take it..please..Last night I had a dream. In the dream an angel appeared and told me that I had to make you take the Bible. Take it, son..please." Devers shoved the Bible into his shirt pocket to satisfy the wounded man.
Twenty minutes later, Devers' squad stumbled right into a Japanese patrol, and before he knew what had happened he was on the ground, his mind fading into the darkness, certain he was dying. When he came to, he felt a ripple of pain shoot through his chest, but there was no blood.
The bullet had torn into the Bible he carried in his pocket, ....

He wants us to get to know him, hence the bible, and the best way to get to know someone is by knowing their name,i mean its the very first thing you learn about them.
You don't go around saying oi you, so why is it so hard to believe that yes actually God does have a name, and surprise surprise its there in the bible in the book of PSALM chapter 83 and verse 18 it says "That people may know that you whose name is Jehovah. You alone are the Most High over all the earth, its in all bibles throughout the world take a look in yours

Being bilingual (English 1st, Spanish 2nd, with two university quarters of German), I am able to enjoy conversations with lots of people on different stuff in different places.

I have noticed some interesting dynamics in determining which languages get spoken between two or bilingual folks. For example, if somebody is a native spanish speaker and they speak maybe 70% English, we end up speaking Spanish, even though I can understand them. I also noticed that when talking to a Native German Speaker with maybe 80% English, he wouldn't speak to me in German, even though I wanted to practice.

Also, I have a friend who is bilingual (100% English/85% Spanish). His wife (100% Spanish/70% English) is always fighting with him to get him to speak English to her.

Has anybody else experienced this, fighting over which language to speak?

i am atheist and i care so little about christian religion that i wouldnt hesitate a second to say i am christian if with that i would gain anything...why is that are there some atheists who claim they would never admit being member of any religion under any circumstance???
Are they giving religion a great importance when they say they would not use it for their own convenience? is an atheist who claims never admitting being member of any religion more an anti - (whatever religion) than atheist???

Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

It is important that we testify to believers and non-believers alike!

Most of us have some sort of conversion experience from, or within the religion of our parents. Many of us have times of doubt, "dark nights of the soul," or a fall from faith for good or bad. My personal journey could be viewed as evolutionary, moving up a ladder from one religion or another, but to be more correct, I'd have to say my journey has been moving more horizontally and somewhat indirect.

I'm in a line of work where it could be lucrative to go gay, well, at least part of the time. Also, it seems like gay guys are easier than women, so my chances of scoring would go way up if I was gay. Finally, I wouldn't need to deal with some guy bugging me to get married if I was gay, since that's just not done.

Yet I'm not gay. Has kind of a uck factor for me.

Nonetheless, I hear about these programs to make the gay go away. Seems like if those programs work, then heterosexuality can be cured too.
