Trust me your feelings are perfectly natural and we have all been there at some times. What I can reassure you with is that in all scenarios the presentaton goes better than you thought it would, you get a good reception and you feel proud of yourself and happy with life on completing the task.
Practice of course will improve your confidence - know your stuff and your timings. Speak slowly and make eye contact with people who are listening. I would also use visual aids - this diverts attention from yourself to the aid and might make you feel more relaxed as a result.
And finally - and it works for me - you must have been in far more worrying or horrible situations than merely having to give a presentation. Think about those and the outcomes - the relief, the way you handled yourself, and then something as trivial as a presentation will see a lot more straight forward.
The very best of British to you.

I love public speaking, Remember that the people there want to hear what you have to say and are all on your side. Make sure that you have actually spoken the words you are going to say out loud so you can get an idea of the timing of the presentation. if you are not standing at a podium remember to move about and not stand stock still at the side of the platform. If you really need a trick to do this remember not to get eye contact with anyone in the audience but rather look at their foreheads because you still appear to be looking at the faces of the people you are talking to. If all else fails present what you have to say to any single friendly face in the audience and don't worry about the rest of the people there. Best of Luck

Practice, practice, practice. I have horrible stage fright & I'm a third-year law student, imagine the problems I've had speaking in public. Anyways I always practice what I am going to say beforehand. If possible, go into the room where you will be giving the presentation and just practice for an hour or two alone. Then after that, remember to breath and take your time. Good Luck!

I agree with what others have said; If you know what you're going to talk about, you should be fine. I find that pitch, the tone and general intonation of your voice helps to get your presentation across in a friendy and interesting way also. Annunciate words, make everything clear. Just remember that there are worst things to be doing, and 700 words isn't that much. Have confidence in yourself, I'm sure you'll do great!

yes, i do.
before you are about to present, just be confident. if you keep thinking about it, you will feel worse. just think to yourself "im gonna do this"
and while you are presenting, try to get the audience to like you. say something funny but keep it on topic.
also, if you cant seem to gather your thoughts and form a sentence without stuttering, try to think of the EXACT lines you will say before hand.
if you are shaking, just practice holding your arm out in front of you. naturally, you will shake somewhat anyway.
i dont know how professional the presentation is, but if you really cant stop shaking, lean your arms on soemthing (a podium, desk)
if you will be seeing the same people more than once for a presentaion, once you get to know them better you wont feel as nervous.
and make sure you dont lift your arms becuase they are likely to see your sweaty armpits -_-

Take a deep breath and take your time. When (not if) you make a mistake, pause for a sec to collect yourself and start again. Mistakes happen to everyone (especially if you're using a powerpoint). Besides, what's the worst that could happen?
Good luck on your presentation. Let me know how it turns out.

Practice your speech in the mirror a few times before you actually give your speech. Watch your facial features and adjust to them they tell a lot about how nervous a person is. After a few times your speech will be a breeze. GOOD LUCK!!!

I am a officer in the fire service and i find that when i have my uniform on and have to talk to a group i have no problem, however in real life i am a very shy person, why not try to imagine that you have some sort of uniform or are a authority figure, and know your subject. good luck
