Before you read this quote from the pamplet consider, what is the intent of the writer(s), is it to show that the english word 'Jehovah' comes from a mistake, or to approve the use of Jehovah as God's name.

QUOTE: How Is God's Name Pronounced? "When it came to God's name, instead of putting the proper vowel signs around it, in most cases they put other vowel signs to remind the reader that he should say 'Adho·nai'. From this came the spelling Iehouah, and, eventually, Jehovah became the accepted pronunciation of the divine name in English. This retains the essential elements of God's name from the Hebrew original."

http://www.watchtower.org/e/na/index.htm

Simply put, the writer(s) are saying, '....that it does not matter how you pronounce the name..." any combination of vowels added to the 4 consonates letter which abbreviate God's name in Hebrew is acceptable, just as any combination of vowels added to the consonates letters of your personnel name would be acceptable. The problem with adding the wrong vowels to the 4 consonant letters of God's name becomes not just a different form of the name but a different name or word altogether, if it could be considered a word or name.*

Ok..so today at lunch me and my friends were at our table. Now my school has 600 kids, 3 whites, like 25 hispanic/latinos and the rest are black, so my only white friend was sitting with us. Now she's mad cool or whatever but today what she said was kinda insulting.

One of my other friends who is black was singing a Lil' Wayne song and she got to the part where she was about to say the n word and my white friend did it for her.

It was like everyone at my and nearbye tables stopped and everyone was yelling at her, several girls were about to fight them and I was angry as well.

I don't like the n word, I don't use it, I don't really mind when a black person uses it, seeing as we switched it around. But when a white person uses it I do get insulted. So my question is was I, and the rest of the people that got mad, wrong? My white friend seems to think so.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - A federal appeals court has rejected an Alabama inmate's bid to build a fire in a pit at a state prison as part of his religious worship. Tony Lee Smith, 38, wanted to build a fire at St. Clair Correctional Facility to practice an ancient polytheistic Nordic religion called Odinism, according to his lawsuit.

On Tuesday, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that prison officials did not violate Smith's religious rights by refusing his request. The prison had feared a backlash because the religion is said to incorporate white supremacist beliefs.

Smith's attorney, Henry "Hank" Sherrod III of Florence, said Smith had never been a white supremacist.

According to the suit, prison officials gave Smith a candle.

white mother in Texas who drowned her 5 boys a few years back? Do you think she'll get as much leniency for "being insane" obviously as she is, just like the white mom of 5 was insane?

The white woman was Andrea Yates and remember how she drowned one by one, her 5 beautiful boys in her bathtub and initially she was sentenced to death or life in prison, but she got a second trial and was decalred insane. Do you think the Black woman who is also insane will be shown the same sensibility?

Not sure what Andrea Yates' bail was, but this Black woman has a $2Million bond???

It's so sad, so sad.

They arrived side by side at St Peter's door and he said come in. He reviewed their past and said--you have both been good men so I am going to let you return to earth for a year as anything you want to be. The men stood there and the Indian said---I want to be an Eagle. OO eee he was gone. Then the cowboy pondered a bit and said I want to be (in a deep voice) a stud. OO eee he was gone. A year goes by and St Pete says to an angel you need to bring back the Indian. She said--where do I begin, he said ah just go to Wrangle Alaska and ask the autobon society who the new eagle is and you have him. Bam the two return to Heaven. The next angel says where do I go to find the cowboy? St Pete says---well that is going to be a bit harder to do, he is in a snow tire somewhere in North Dakota. Do ya thing the cowboy screwed up??

...Quran is more peaceful, tolerant and sane than Bible is?

Is it just becuase our religion has been hijacked by a few extremists -all who rose becuase of the US meddling in the Middle East and some were even supported by the US at one time (Bin Laden in case you forgot)- that you seek the opportunity to take out the religion which trumps yours in tolerance, consistency, sanity, reasonable teachings, morality and even women's rights (Yes, womens rights- if you know anything about the Bible and the Quran you would know that Islam is much less sexist and actually gave women rights)?
