Yes, I believe that too. 20 years ago I looked like a movie star. 15 years ago I started to look like Ernest Borgnine. 10 years ago I started to look like Wilfred Brimley. 5 years ago I started to look like an older version of Dumbo. Today I feel like something a truck runs over daily.

Change into what? Hahahahaha !!!! When I was 16-17 I was told I looked like an angel. When I was 27 or so I was told I was a fox. A few years or so later I seem to remember the word "Heifer". Then there was the witch word that began with another letter !!! Then there was the time I was told I had the patient of a Saint. 25 years later I was called a Saint. But the most important things I changed into were Mom and Grandmaaaaaaa !!!! Ohhhhh ...... Now I look like my husband's identical twin !!!! *smile*

No doubt about it. I have gone through major changes every year since I turned 47. I'm now 53. Can't imagine how I'm going to look by the time I'm 55. Things are just moving and sagging. I still weigh the same, but everything is in a different place!

Well since I moved back home here to be with my parents, I have gained about 20 pounds (HATE IT). My eye sight is worse,I don't have many teeth left(false teeth on the top), my memory is well......what can I say? My hair is grey, that is under the color it is grey. What else is going to go? I am only 51. I do live alone (my choice), except for my parents that live next to me. Yes I have noticed all the changes that have been going on with me, but they seem a lot faster than every 5 years.

Yeh, it's like I went to the Body Shop to get a life collision repaired, and the guy said. That model went out years ago and we do not have the parts to repair or replace them. So I will just have to drive through life with this banged up Heap.
It may not look pretty, but it still runs.

I agree, in a way.
I have been weightlifting for 22 years.
I am now 55.
Most of my change has been that I am getting bigger and stronger.
Yesterday I went to my shoe store - Redwing - for new shoes for work. They have my shoe sizes and styles on their computer. Since 1986. I go every 1-2 years to buy shoes.
Now, when I bought the shoes, they were 13, widest width possible. The lady said my first pair was 11, medium width. I asked what that meant. She said that, as we get older, our feet get smaller. You, on the other hand, every time you come back, your feet get bigger! If 'this' is aging, I am all for it!!

I've noticed significant changes at the 10 year mark.
At 20 my agility in rock climbing, long-distance swimming and spelunking were noticeably diminished.
At 30 my long-distance bicycling became increasingly limited.
At 40 my energy level declined to the point that I'd pass up an opportunity to hike, climb or ride.
At 50 I get winded very easily and losing weight is nearly impossible.
Haven't gotten to 60 yet. At this rate, I'll probably lose my . . .
Naw . . . that'll never happen!

I stayed much the same for many years. Menopause hit (early) and I still hadn't noticed any definite changes. 3 years later .. BAM! Not huge changes, but enough for me to really notice them. Now I need to start exercising- even though I don't have a lot of energy, and watching what I eat - which I never had to do before.

Lers see I figured out not to jump off of a 6' fence after I turned 36---watch out for hugs from short guys after you are 42--broken ribs, falling on your butt works, ya just bounce. Clothes, well if I decided to go out and spend all my money I would now be a size 3--which happens to now be the same size a 9 was 15 years ago. Designer sizes, cracks me up to see the fat ladies on commercials saying they wear a size 8 ho ho ho. Bring it on I can handle it. No problem life is all about changes!! ;0)

I notice that I didn't age gradually, it was more like all at once. It's long been believed that our body completely renewed itself every 7 years. Biologists hesitate to put a definite time line on it, but do agree cells wear out and are replaced. I hope one of these times, my body replaces everything that's wrong with me, with the good stuff.
