Always find it hard to drop off. I'm usually awake till 2.30 - 3.00 am UK and then up at 7.30 am. Recently I have been managing to grab an hour in the afternoon say 1.00pm till 2.00 but not every day unfortunately. I used to take Stilnocht sleeping pills from the quack and I only slept for 4 hours with those so I appear to be sleeping a tad better without them, lol:-D

Well after 9 years of waking up many times or several times a night (kids); it feels like I am finally starting to get some good sleep again. If I'm lucky, I only wake up once & manage to get back to sleep not too long afterwards.

i dont find it hard to sleep but rather when i do fall asleep i find it hard to stay asleep.. sounds weird i no.

if i were to lay my head down i can sleep within 2mins but would wake every couples of minutes for the entire night... and any and every noise would completly wake me.
plus it doesnt help matters that i talk in my sleep and in recent times started doing my actions that i was dreaming about in my sleep.. i know im doing this because it wakes me up.. haha.
i must get maximum 4 hours of sleep per night.. and i feel like sh*t!

been to the doctors a total of 10 times this year begging them to help me, they wouldnt even give me sleeping tabs, saying im too young and its just a phase im going through.. (yeah some phase which has lasted more than 5 years) well, i took it upon myself to by some sleeping pills.. but it didnt work.
i ended up over dosing on 5 pills per day, when the recomended dose was 1 per night.. all that happened to me from these over dosing was i couldnt think properly and i wobbled down the street.. haha.. instead of walked coz i was so tierd and i felt drunk all the time from the tablets... like a very bad hang over.
it probably did some minor liver damage, but i have been tested recently and i seem to be all fine.. not the sort of thing you can get addicted to thank god.. so i stopped doing it and saved money.

I have had insomnia for 20 years.I can never fall asleep as soon as i go to bed and i never stay asleep longer than 3 hours at a time.I am an expert on insomnia remedies but the only one's that work are not healthy to take long term so i just suffer in silence. It affects most of my day and i would not wish it on anyone so if you are suffering i feel sorry for you.

Yes ever since I divorced 10yrs ago I can never let myself relax completely as I know that its only me here with the kids.
When they go to my ex for the weekend ( not v often) I go out with my friends have a couple of drinks and sleep like a baby.
