My whole life I have been a atheist, and my parents raised me saying I could believe whatever I wished, and Got my The bible, and all sorts of holy books so I could see what people thought, and I could understand different religions. I have thought about becomine A christian for a long time, but I couldnt make up my mind, so I searched on yahoo answers, and I found I post, but It didnt help much, so im asking my self. I am open minded and reasons I should become a different religion besides christanity are also exepted. But I would like the following in your answers:
what makes you think your reliqion is better/right in comparison to the others
What do you think of other reliqions? are you hostil?
What do you think of the theory of evolution
If you say the movie "Jesus camp I would also like some comments on that movie"
Thank you. I hope to come to a verdict once I have read all of your comments, and have stabiltiy and peace no matter the reliqion. Thank you all verry much xd!!!!

, astronomy, evolutionary biology, genetics, palaeontology, biochemistry, astrophysics, geology, systematics, microbiology, bioinformatics, sedimentology, geophysics and most other earth science or biological scientific fields.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I think YE creationists earned a Nobel Prize. They don't even need a Ph.D. to show the falsehoods of these obvious pseudosciences, they deserve two Nobel Prizes for that!

Finally these “scientists” can get real jobs!!!

A new band teacher was hired this year, and high school students (grades 9-12) have been being very disrespectful and inconsiderate during class, so I have been talking to her briefly. She is an absolutely wonderful teacher, and it's just because she's new, young (23 years old), and pushes us to reach potential that students are behaving unacceptably. Things have changed and are going somewhat better now.

I'm 15, and never have really fit among my age group, but of course I have a few friends my age.

Would it be odd to become friends with this teacher? She seems to enjoy talking to me and asks me questions often about students, etc...

What do you think?

If Heaven nor Hell allow sex, then there must be a place in between or some outskirt of Heaven, some certain place where you can feel as human as when you were alive but only now have all your desires fulfilled at the snap out of your fingers. Afterall, that's what can happen when you're dreaming.

If you can't do it in Heaven or Hell, then where can you if you really want to experience it bad enough. What if you demand to experience it at least just one time because you died a virgin and never knew what it was like????

Okay, I will begin by saying that I agree with Dawkins on numerous points, but he fails on one critical point. He tries to compare Zeus, Apollo, and various other Gods to the Judeu-Christian God. Here is the problem:
1) The Greeks never claimed that Zeus appeared to them. Furthermore, they don't claim that Zeus gave them a bible. Thus, they don't have much authenticity. The Jewish people, however, claim to have gotten the bible from God. If Dawkins wants to prove Judeu-Christian philosophy, he has to prove that the bible was never given by God, but rather written by people.

2) Problem number two is that only the Greeks, and maybe a few other people, believed in Greek Mythology. Judaism gave rise to Islam and Christianity, which are almost universal. The more people believing in something, the more authenticity it has. Of course, that doesn't mean that it's true, but it rises the likelyhood that it is true.

So, Richard Dawkins has got to stop comparing Zeus to the Jewish God.

I need a modern (or young-ish) Christmas song to sing at a church concert thingy. It doesn't have to be really religious, because its not a mass, but it obviously can't mention profanity.

Yes, early n the season, I know, but we need to have it in by mid-October.

I was thinking something made in the 1950's-present, or a classic that can be applied to young people, because a lot of great classics only apply to adults (I'll Be Home for Christmas). Likewise, nothing Rudolph-esce, for little kids.

If you want my vocal range, I'm pretty flexible; no song entirely at a very low range or entirely at a high range.

Thanks in advancee.

I think that sometimes people become so sensitive about their beliefs that they feel if another person even questions their faith, that person is being intolerant.

Do you feel that if someone asks you to explain how you came to follow a particular religion and questions you about the intricacies of that religion that they are being intolerant of you? Aren't these questions that we should ALL be able to answer, especially if we publicly state our beliefs?

And, to you, is disagreement intolerance? Do you feel someone has to agree with you in order to respect your rights to your beliefs?

I fully understand the dictionary definition of intolerance, I'm just looking for personal opinions here.

Is our relationship illegal , considering he is a minor and i am the adult ?

We live in Boston,Massachusetts. I am just curious because i have heard that other states have regulations or bans regarding relationships between minors and adults. I have been in America for only a few years. i need to know more about how things work here. Please educate me.

Informative answers will earn BEST ANSWER and 5 points.

I wanted to add that I deeply love and care for this guy. He is really mature , very passionate, intelligent, and he cares a lot about me. Even if our relationship was illegal i wouldn't leave him for anything.
