Well, he will win lawsuit because God will not respond to him or the judge. Does that mean that God is guilty?, lol.

He's doing it to prove a point.

And for the people that don't know, Ernie Chambers is indeed an atheist.

I am from Nebraska and have endured this senator for a long time. He is a professional sceptic, skips legislative prayers, and denounces christians. I don't take his antics personal because he represents a district that continues to re-elect him to office. So he is the icon of a much bigger problem. The culture(Omaha district) that he represents. Actually under original intent of the U.S. constituition he is prosecutable under the law. The founders considered christianity as part of common law. People have gone to prison for saying inpublic discussions that the bible is full of lies. There were over 140 signers of the constituition and bill of rights. Together they provide an overwhelming support of christian ethic in government. However in the last 80 years judges have been only giving secular opinions from a few of the founders. They are ignoring the vast christian history of our country. I filed a complaint with the Nebraska state Ombudsman on this senator and am waiting for a reply. We may have to meet in a teleconference call and discuss this further.

"A politician in the US is protesting at frivolous law suits in the US courts by launching one himself in which he is suing God. The suit seeks an injunction against God to stop him and his followers making terrorist threats."

Direct quote from your article. He sees lawsuits he believes to be ridiculous, ones that should be thrown out of court. So, hes making his own ridiculous suit to show how absurd the other ones are.

And the article never in any shows him to be an atheist, so hes not suing someone who doesn't exist for him.

Did you miss what it said at the start of the article?

"A politician in the US is protesting at frivolous law suits in the US courts by launching one himself in which he is suing God."

That's why.

So what, he's an atheist. You could not find a better way of illustrating frivolous lawsuits than by suing an imaginary being. It's brilliant!

He has explained it several times now. To show that our Justice System is in the hole since anyone can sue anyone for anything. Remember the whole deal when that woman sued McDonalds cause she spilled hot coffee in her lap? Next time you go through the drive-thru, ask for a cup of coffee and read the cup itself. It wasn't till that woman sued them, AND WON, that they started putting those stupid cautions "Careful Contents are Hot".

The is not one word in the article about him being atheist, or even agnostic. In fact he state; "God is everywhere." No atheist would say such a thing.

As for why, it is clearly explained in the article, and it is a good and reasonable explanation.

LOL, I want to see the court GIVE him the injunction and THEN watch and see just HOW he gets that injunction enforced. That will be SOME feat for sure.

He's trying to make a point about frivolous lawsuits. Being an atheist, if he is one, is irrelevant.

As far as i know the guy who is suing, isn't an atheist, and is just trying to prove how easily it is to sue any "carbon based organism" in the US.
