I asked this because I am trying to figure something out.I know it has probably been asked before.But I am still curious.What I am curious about is why believers think that telling Atheists they are going to Hell works or describing Hell in detail convinces non believers enough to believe that it must exist because it was described.

Also, *scratches head* why do believers think that non believers are going to be convinced of anything having to do with God or heaven or Hell or Jesus and so forth because it says so in the Bible?Are they oblivious to the fact that non believers are usually non believers because they already don't believe that the Bible is anything more then some rather long and boring fiction written by a bunch of guys in the desert?

God created Lucifer, am I right? Or didn't He?

Lucifer fell and became Satan, the Father of Lies. Satan wants us to be as he is, unhappy, fallen, sinful, EVIL.

If God was so adamant that Adam and Eve not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, then why did He not do something to prevent it?

If Jesus Christ was always intended to be our Saviour, then God must have wanted Adam and Eve to eat the fruit, otherwise, Jesus would have been totally unnecessary.

..but we all know that Freya gets the first pick. So the best, bravest, fiercest and most honourable warriors go to Freya's hall, not Odin's Valhall.
If that is so, why is "going to Valhall" so much more advertised and desired among the Asatruar? They can't be all trully dedicated to Odin, (or actually actively participating in the army) yet it seems that all that ever gets in the public and the media (movies, music lyrics...etc) is dying for Odin and going to Valhall.
I mean, who wants to hang out with the second best? Who wants to BE the second best?
Am I over-simplifying this?

I know Halloween is a ways away, but my friends and I are always brain storming in advance. We always come up with these fun elaborate costumes, but this year none of my friends are into it! This is our first year in highschool and no one wants to look like a dork in front of the older kids. Whats a good costume thats fun but doesn't look to dorky or "little kidish." All my friends think we should just wear a wig with our regular clothes, or a mask. But what fun is that?

Why do black guys have a bad impression on black girl..like they are say they are too loud and ghetto..And i am not like that.. I want to be able to start over my life. I want to be a new person -- a good person. I want to take care of myself. I want to show another side of who I REALLY am. I'm tired of posing myself as something I'm not. I've already lied to so many people. I feel like I can't reverse what I've done. I need some advice. I can't do this alone. Please, send some support. Tell me what I should do to pick up the pieces of my heart and put it together.

I used to be a "ghetto" person. Someone who curses a lot.

I WANT to be someone everyone will like. (Any suggestions?)

Do you like someone who thinks they can beat up anybody they want or someone who gets along with everybody?

I just want to STOP LYING!

I am specifically looking for information on the Chinook, (Chief Multnomah's tribe) although any information about other tribes will most likely be useful as well. I am interested in knowing some stuff about the spirits or gods they believed in and if the land along the Historic Columbia River Highway (Multnomah Falls area) was/is sacred. I am also looking to find if there is an area they believed to be protected by spirits. The internet doesn't seem to be a great resource because most of the stuff was orally handed down through the generations. So if anyone has any knowlegde on this subject, or if you are an American Indian that has any information that will point me in the right direction it will be really helpful.
