What do you believe in? (1) if you believe in God. (2) if you don't.

If you believe in God, who would you define as being God?

If you don't, what do you believe in? (example: atheist, evolutionist, naturalist, etc.)

Believing God is easy, it costs nothing. We believe only if we are not sure. To make sure, you have to make efforts. For the weak belief is convenient. There are many believers of God!
Those who don't know, believe; those who know, trust. Isn't trust more beautiful and valuable than belief? Which is more important: to believe God or to seek God? Do you prefer the convenience of belief to hardship of genuine search for God?
In the garb of belief are we not hiding our inability or weakness? By believing outright, are we not accepting defeat before facing the trial of seeking? Is it real humility or humiliating oneself?

Especially since God is supposed to be Love. If Satan is in "God's ultimate plan" then why are Christians mad at Satan and not God for creating him?

My first job was when I was 15, I sold magazines over the phone, but it was short lived, I ran out of relatives to sell to. LOL

My next job was working at a private lodge in Northern WI, I was cleaning cabins, helping in the kitchen, peeling 50 lb. bags of potatoes at 5:30 AM, waiting tables. , washing dishes. All that for $1.60 per hour! The tips were great though, and the owners of the lodge gave us a free apartment and we could use the jeep to get around the 1200 acres.

Religion came from long ago when people were confused and curious about the world.. So like today they came up with theory's/stories to try and understand it. These theories were passed on through the ages and eventually written down, and then read and taken as fact by many. Take a look at every religion they all kind of came up around the same time frame. We need to take it all as fiction and a history lesson, but we also have to move on and get with reality.

He was screaming the same single syllable over and over again, then this other dude supposedly translated it into something like "God is watching over you, protecting you, have no fear for he is always there."
Why do I find this hard to believe?

If Jesus and the bible could be proved wouldn't that mean our christianity wouldn't be based on faith? Which if it could be proven that means the Bible is lying to us? Science will never be able to prove or disprove God so whats all the problems for. Does it really matter to you what I believe?

This is a question to Christians: do you think the Harry Potter books are unGodly?

I, myself, am a Christian, and I used to think the Harry Potter books were bad until I read them. They are not only written nicely and great stories, but they also show morals. There was even a Bible verse in the last book.

So, do you, as a Christian, think the Harry Potter novels are unGodly and bad?

Of your Waco fundamentalist sister who walked out on educator Bill Nye (The Science Guy) because he dared to say that the moon did not have any light of its own, but was only reflecting light from the sun? As she walked out in a huff, she supposed said "We believe in GOD" to explain why she was so upset over Nye's statement.

Apparently, they took issue with the conflict between fact of the moon as a reflector of ligh and the biblical reference of the moon as "a lesser light to govern the darkness."

When deciding upon schools to send your kids to- doesn't it make more sense to just send them to a parochial school where they will get the education you want them to, instead of trying to FORCE public schools to teach something that should be taught in a religious school? I just think it would be so much easier for you, don't you?

If price is an issue (as I would assume is the case with private schooling), then shouldn't you petition the church for lower tuition?

my muslim boyfriend of 8 years just told me today that he has done so much sin that he wants to be a proper muslim again. he didnt pray or fast for the last 4 years and ate in non halal places (but no pork) while we are overseas. iam a chinese, it was never much of a problem, but after we got in a huge fight a few days ago, then he declared that he needs to be a better person, including treating me better in order to do that we will no longer have physical contact other than holding hands till we get married. And that he will no longer eat at my place or with my family to non halal place or even touch my dog anymore. he is determined to do it or else he will go to hell he says.we won;t get married in at least another 2 years as we are still not financially stable. i cant live without my dog but can;t imagine living without him either. how do i cope or do after 8 years?!! he also said i cant convert because of him, cause i can only do so if i want to. i don't see how it can work.
