I tried it although obviously didnt go all the way through reporting

there are now only two things to report
a violation of Yahoo guidelines
or illegal content ( such as harmful material to minors etc )

not sure about this
hhmmm

just read zero cools answer
and this does worry me to be honest
one of my stalkers is a level 6
and also many of the report trolls are on high levels

What REALLY worries me is that the report system is now "Community Moderated". I read their new "Help Page" about it; they're going to simply remove any content reported by the "more reliable members". I suppose that means a bit more work for the really dedicated trolls, but if they manage to build up a high-point account and then go on a reporting rampage, well, everyone is SCREWED because the reporting system will remove the reported material automatically.

Am I operating on a different version of Yahoo! Answers or something?

The report thingie doesn't look any different to me. Yet everyone's going on and on about some new giant, shiny red report button.

I'm starting to think you're all insane.

the new staff of report monkeys must not be getting enough business

all they have to do is create a pseudo icon and start calling atheists a bunch of anti US god haters and we are back in business so people can lose their points and start at zero, and we have to endure the advertisements

it's all about the money

Yes, it is very strange. It is like they are begging us to report folks, making it easy, encouraging us to censure often and with a happy mind. In fact, I may just report you.

It's almost like I can't stop myself from pushing ALL of them. Perhaps they should change the button name to "Jesus Saves".

That would work just as well.

Actually, I'm more concerned that the folks who usually come here inebriated will end up reporting people when they really meant to give the question a star!

I just did! But I didn't actually report anyone. Just wanted to see if it had changed. And there's a BIG difference!!!!
