DO you think that ,no matter what you do, Your destiny is preordained?

I do not. If that were the case there would be no reason to try to achieve anything, and we'd all be spending all our time sitting in front of the tv ,eating doritos,and waiting to see what happens next.

but then, I DO get de ja vu ,and fairly often. i mean to the point that now ,when it happens ,i think to myself ,"ah. i 'remember' this', and it doesn't even freak me out anymore.

So then, for deja vu 'believers' , that feel we can forge our own paths, how do you assimulate the relationship between the two(preordained destiny and deva vu) ?

and,finally ... where would YOU have categorized this question? i thought about sticking it in philosophy , but ..well, you guys can see, for yourselves, what i went with. ; )

One day a Catholic a Baptist and a Methodist decided to go fishing.

They got in there boat and pushed there way over to the middle of the lake.

The Catholic Said, ''I forgot my hat" so he got up, got out of the boat and walked across the water.

He came back and the Baptist said, " I forgot the fishing bait" so he got up, got out of the boat and walked across the water.

He came back and the Methodist said, " I forgot the beer" so he got up, got out of the boat he was standing in the water then he sank.

I know that Jewish people have kosher meals. But what are they? Do they have these meals everyday or just on the Sabbath? And why do they practice this? And why is it not practiced by Christians?

My GF told me about two weeks ago that a friend of her's from work, who I don't know, is hosting a bachlorette party for one of their co-workers at her home next week. She was looking to higher a guy to tend bar and serve drinks to the ladies and was willing to pay up to $300 for about five hours work. The one catch was I was to tend bar wearing only a pair of biker shorts. I agreed but now this weekend we went to the house where the party will be to discuss some details. During the discussion the hostess handed me a box and told me to change so she could see if she liked the look. To my surprise the box contained a microscopic g-string. I told her I was not going to wear that for the evening but my GF told me it would be fine. Finally the hostess offered to pay me $500 for the night if I wore the g-string and I said I would think about it. On the way home my GF kept telling me to do it as we could use the money which is true but I don't know if I should. Thoughts?

Why do people have the assumption that all christians just want to get to the next life and dont care what happens in our current physical life? We still have to live this life. and the Lord did say to keep ourselves occupied.

For those who don't know me, My boyfriend and I are working on a development of a children computer program, so we need now just 50 words staring with the letter E appropriate for kids under the age of 5 to 6 years old. I now that looking up in a dictionary will be the best way to search for them, but I really don't have a lot of time in my hands since my uncle died yesterday and I work full time and at night I went to college is pretty hard to seek for this words.

The sun was shining this morning. I dragged the pool from the shed. Spent ages blowing it up with a hand pump and then another two hours to fill it up with water. Guess what? The suns gone in and it's cloudy.

I know you don't like people that think otherwise than you do, or think at all for that matter, but I was wondering what your view is about these kind of people.

- Atheist: does not believe in any superbeing.
- Deist: does believe in a superbeing, but he does not know it, thus does not worship it.
- Pagan: believes in polytheism, nature and the like.
- Believer in another mainstream religion or philosophical thing: hinduism, moslim, buddhist, taoist, shintoist etc.

I was wondering what people of all ages, young and old, think of bodypiercings when it comes to the workplace? In my opinion I think they are ok providing there not everywhere. But where does one " draw the line " so to speak ? . Do you think they are inapropriate ? I think it should be up to the employer's discreation to decide what's approprite and what is'nt. I also think that employers are way to tough on personel presentation. Our society has changed and it stil is changing and we should all stop worrying about how people look and be more conserned about how well we do our job !
