Can someone explain to me how one of the most idiotic human beings end up as a third runner in a beauty pageant ( Miss teen USA )!?!?
And then people wonder why the US is starting to decline...

As a teen contestant, I dont feel this young lady was in any way "stupid". There is no way she could have gotten this far in the pageant without being a smart person. She may have even ended up winning had she not gotten flustered and bombed her onstage interview question. Im 14 and compete in pageants all the time (12-20 a year). On stage interview is the hardest part of the pageant because it is an unkown and you have no control over it. You have to be able to handle it w/ poise though. The judges are looking for a "total Package"..that means they want a girl that is beautiful but can also express herself articulately. Part of being poised is knowing how to handle a difficult situation. If you dont know the answer, skirt around it a bit talking about something you DO know about or try to convince the judges you know what you are talking about. Never let them see ya sweat.

Did she really win third runner-up? Wow. I saw her on Jimmy Kimmel, but they were just making fun of her. They didn't say that she got third runner-up. She was stupid! I bet all South Carolinians are embarrassed.
