why is it like if u go 2 yahoo india u find ppl askin ways to get fairer skin while when on yahoo US u find ppl asking ways 2 get darker? whether an indian or american tell me truely why are ppl so dissatisfied with themselves??

In America, darker skin on white people, indicates that you live in luxury and have time to bask in the sun, so to speak. It speaks of vacations to remote pacific islands, sitting around the pool and just general wealth.
In countries where wealth is a premium and very few people are wealthy, darker skin implies that you have to do menial work, or labor in the sun, which will darken your skin. So in order to give the impression that you are not a laborer, they want lighter colored skin.
When I was in Vietnam, where it was really hot most of the time, the ladies wore long skirts, call Ouidzies. The spelling is probably wrong, but that it what it sounded like. The dresses were high collared and long sleeves. The wore the wide straw hats. All of this was done to keep their skin safe from the sun that would darken their skin and give people the impression that they had to work in the fields in the sun.
I believe that it is human nature to want what you do not have, and some of us will spend the rest of our lives, trying to get it.

It human nature many aren't satisfied with what they have.
We learn the hard way " you don't know what you've got till its gone".
If one is able to forget himself and focus on helping others I'm sure he/she will be more content with his life.

yes people are dissatisfied with themselves... here in America we starve to get thin, and throw up our food...
in Africa kids are starving for food....
ya no matter what some people do, they will always be unhappy....
