The sun was shining this morning. I dragged the pool from the shed. Spent ages blowing it up with a hand pump and then another two hours to fill it up with water. Guess what? The suns gone in and it's cloudy.

It happens all the time

Does it happen to you?

Thankfully no. But the sun rarely forgets to shine where I live.

What usually happens is the the housekeeper's daughter has become fed up of waiting while I 'faff' around and gone outside the house to play with her friends.

She looks disdainfully at me when I announce that I have finished and then as soon as my back is turned 4 or 5 little urchins are having a whale of a time in it!

Usually happens to me just as the barbecue has got to the right temperature then it gets very windy and things end up under the grill!
