"How naive can we be to believe Lucy is a 3.2 million year old ancestor of humans? Scientific research has shown the earth isn't that old. Also Lucy is nothing more then an ape.'
And what scientific research did you see this in? Oh, and the bible isn't science..............

The Bible doesn't say how old the earth is. It wasn't until around the 4th century AD that a monk added up lists in the Bible and interpreted Genesis 1 in a way that is questionable that people got the idea that the Bible teaches that the earth is around 6,000 years old.
Here's a link that examines 7 different views on how to interpret Genesis 1 http://www.christianity.co.nz/science7.htm
The 3rd method thinks that the 7 days, 6 of which God "spoke" refer to God revealing truth to mankind on those days and not days of God actually doing the work of creation.
What the Bible does clearly teach however is that God made mankind in his own image and that God created life to reproduce after it's own kind. That doesn't go against the evidence of species evolving to survive changing environmental conditions but it does go against the idea that humans came from some ape like ancestor.
Lucy is the popular name given to the famous fossil skeleton found in 1974 in Ethiopia by American anthropologist Donald Johanson. To many people, Lucy is regarded as some kind of link between ape-like creatures and humans. According to Richard Leakey, who along with Johanson is probably the best-known fossil anthropologist in the world, Lucy's skull is so incomplete that most of it is "imagination made of Plaster of Paris." Leakey even said in 1983 that no firm conclusion could be drawn about what species Lucy belonged to.

At 3.2million years "LUCY" is only a spring chicken,
Sharks teeth have been found and carbon dated to around
200million years before any Dinosaurs roamed this planet
"Earth"and just to blow the Flying spaghetti monsters followers "Creation" theory to pieces, the SHARK evolved
and no god "created" them.
Christians ?? this is what we have been trying to tell you since day 1,all your ranting about a super being that came
from no-where and a God who did the same thing, are in fact a collective pack of Lies, made by your people and passed down through history, time and time again we the people
who believe that we evolved from the APE rule more of this planet than you and your Spaghetti Monsters ever could.

Detailed anatomical analysis has long suggested that Lucy’s kind did not walk upright. according to Respected anatomists like Dr Charles Oxnard, evolutionist and holder of professorships at the University of Western Australia and the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Lucy was equipped for knucklewalking with fingers and toes that are curved like apes.
The jaw bones are wrong. Au. afarensis (Lucy) has a lower jaw bone (mandible) that closely resembles that of a gorilla—not that of a human or even a chimp (Proceedings of the National Academy of Science: April 17, 2007, Vol. 104, pp. 6568-6572.)
Donald Johanson, the discoverer of the first Au. afarensis “Lucy,” conceded that its V-shaped mandible was very ape-like, and certainly nothing like that of a human (Johanson & Edey, Lucy: The Beginnings of Humankind, Simon & Shuster 1981, p. 258.)

Hi, Mike:
Did you know that Leakey yielded to pressure from one student at Univ. of Salt Lake, Utah and answered his question: "how far apart was the monkey skull found from the articulating knee?"
The human knee was actually dug up fifty ft deeper and 1 1/2 mile away from the monkey skull. Yes, Ludy will go on tour as the most promising evidence of evolution and sponsors continue to plug the leak.
None will protest mutations and changes, but the origion of the species remains the big question.
The ELS Bible code says another code can be found in the 10 commandments that reveal our Creator's name, the author of our DNA, with Adam as the original or template. You can break that code at http://abiblecode.tripod.com

You're right, it's not really a question. Also, you posted it twice in the same category. Look for the violation notice in your mailbox soon. (P.S. I did not report you. This is not important enough for me to report.)

C14 dating has a maximum effective range ~50,000 years.
Other radiologic dating methods can do that, but certainly NOT CARBON. Get your facts straight.
