Where in the Bible does it specifically condemn calling God a Goddess or Divine Mother?

I am a spiritual Christian, and wish to call my God this though previously have said God I associate with Goddess better.

I know rationally that I no longer want to follow that particular path, and I know rationally that I have nothing to fear, but sometimes indoctrination overcomes knowledge.

How do you get past the fear so that you can move on to a path that's more suited for you?

I'm wondering what everyone else thinks about numerology, especially as it applies to religion. Why are some numbers (such as 666 or 13) "scary", some numbers (1 through 8 except 6, 777) "lucky", and some numbers (17, 19, 23, 42) either "special" or referenced in popular culture?

And where did "l337speak" come from (it's okay to groan), and what's the appeal?

Also, I've noticed some people get worked up when they have a song stuck in their head all day, and then they hear it on the radio.

So what's the fascination?

and to see family, I think Gordon Brown will put a tax on the air you breath in Britain. I don't drink, smoke,or drive he never made that much out of me. But I think Britain is very expensive.
I lead a very simple life, Have a lovely apartment which is nice and spacious in Britain I would be living in a matchbox, and oh yes the pool and the Beach, as soon as I am done at work I head straight to the Beach where I hardly spend one penny, an ice cream maybe. When I am in Britain and not at work there is nothing else to do but shop. I cant stand the cold and the rain and the thugs, and the goverment, but if my family were ill I would have to return to take care of them, it simply fills me with dread every time I go back, from the minute I step on the plane,I get more and more deppressed the closer I get to England. By the time I get there I am completely flat. Do you think this is why people are leaving England.?

I'm gonna have like a SMALL party for halloween. Like only 5 or 6 of my friends will come. And i have a small patio outside in my backyard where the "party" will take place. I dont know what kind of games I should have and stuff. And i dont want anything expensive. The guests wont be allowed in the house though.
I was thinking like i'll have some food out. We can have a costume contest where we can vote and there will be prizes. And then like have a wrapping contest. and after that we all go trick or treating. I'm 13 by the way and so are my friends.

What else do you guys think? Oh and no music or DJ anything like that.

The majority of whites came to America after the civil war where many of them were slaves themself in various european countries. My family came here in 1920. Everytime a black person say "whites" or your people" implicating all whites as being descendents of slave traders, I want to smack them. Less than 2 percent of all american whites had any family who was involved in slave trading. And what about the african tribes who sold their people to whites to become slaves. In case some of you didnt know we didnt go over there and kidnap them, they were given to us by their own people as a trade for supplies, gold, etc. Additionally, more whites picked cotton during the 1700's and 1800's under just as bad circumstances as the blacks. Many of which starved and died. It just kills me that coming from Irish ancestry where my people were enslaved for over a 1000 years that i have to be implicated as a part of slavery when my family wasn't even a part of this nation until 80 years after it ended

Bible says we receive Christ Through Personal Invitation "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, i will come into him. (revelation 3:20)

Most church preach that if we sincerly invite Jesus Christ into our lives, by faith through prayer, we have eternal life. Lets say, one point in a person's life, he or she really experience Jesus Christ love for them, faithfully served at church and were growing spiritually. however something happened, and that person falter alway. then from that moment, that person never bothered about his or her relationship with God. They lost faith and love for Jesus Christ. Doe that person have eternal life?
Lets say a person really experience Christ love, served at a church for long time, and everyone thinks that person is really loving the Lord, and bearing fruit. However Bible says not everyone who preach in Jesus name, doing wonders will eternal life. (somewhere in matthew) what does that mean?

This is actually a sincere question. If every Christian, Next Sunday, instead of going to church for 3 hours, spent the time they would have doing charitable work, what do you think would happen? Would anybody convert if 3 hours out of the week were spent doing that instead of sitting in a church? I've got to tell you, the religion would be a lot more appealing if it did.

I was wondering if ch'i or "life energy", which is a fundamental part of traditional Chinese culture, is evil. Of course not in its taught concept, which reflects peace and tranquility, but in reality. In evil I mean drawing power from demonic entities to enforce some of the supernatural feats masters of the so called energy flow can do. I know someone who is a born-again christian who was once very deep into eastern teachings and ch'i, who tolled me its evil in nature and that the feats he could do (once braking a heavy-duty lock with his bare hands right in front of me) are demonic in nature.

He also said that one of the ch'i books he learnt from stated that "ch'i is like a spectacular castle outside but within its cold steel and stone". On TV I have also seen monks of the far-east being able to withstand heavy blows with iron and wooden objects and not even feel the pain, and being able to through needles straight through glass.

a 50th anniversary "party?" I am a man, and I am extremely used to going barefoot - I have gone barefoot in my home as well as in public places (the classroom, libraries, restaurants, bars, theatres, museums, etc.) for the last 10 years, and I would say I have not worn footwear for over 99% of the last decade. Bottom line is, I am ALWAYS uncomfortable wearing closed-toe footwear. As I said, business casual is allowed, if not encouraged at this function. Only the couple celebrating and their immediate family will probably be dressed fully formally. As for the ladies, I know that many, perhaps the majority, will be wearing "dressy" open-toe footwear, and some will be wearing "dressy" flip-flops. I will be in business casual, and I told my parents I had intended on wearing my "dressy" (brown leather, on sale for 30$, NOT plastic/rubber) flops. They completely lost it, and yelled at me that I was selfish and without consideration of the feelings of others. I was taken aback by this
