If the invitation doesn't specify, and the place it's being held at doesn't give you any idea, then assume business-casual. Dress pants and shirt, but not a suit, for men. A nice skirt, slacks, or a casual dress for women.

Class Reunion Dress

It depends on the year. I don't remember it being specifed in the invitation. It was all word of mouth. At my 10 year HS reunion, it was semi-formal. Most women wore dressy dresses and men wore suits. At my 20 year HS reunion, it was more causal. Women wore pantsuits, dresses or pants and a blouse. Men wore button-down shirts and pants. Even jeans. (Most of us had gained weight by then). LOL. I did hear that our 25 year reunion is going to be at a local park for a picnic. There is no dress code there. I hope they have fun!

Check with the organizers. That is an important item and should be listed on the invitation. We had a reunion at country club restaurant. While we had our own room, the facility did not allow jeans, flip flops, shorts for men or women, t-shirts, etc.
Call me old fashioned, but I don't care if the guys are all wearing yellowed wife beaters and the gals are wearing tube tops with spandex pants, I am going to have a suit and tie, and at the minimum, wool slacks and sport coat.
If you want to be really classy, rent (or buy one, tux shops sell them) a tuxedo. Just the basic black James Bond casino style will work fine.

We had people in dressy dresses, party dresses, business suits, jeans and t-shirts, jeans and western shirts, jeans and sports shirts, shorts, capris, flip flops, tennis shoes, boots, you name it, they wore it.

This was our third reunion and nobody was looking at what the others were wearing. We were much too busy visiting and catching up with old friends. Wear something comfortable and you'll have more fun.
