When you guys have the costume contest you could have more than one category. Like for example you could have, Scariest costume, cutest costume, most creative, funniest, and overall best.
Here are some games that ya'll could play. These are my favorite ones.. the ones that I normally do at my parties. One is the apple game, I guess you could call it. It is kinda like bobbing for apples. You cut the centers out of apples. 1 for every person and put a string through the hole. Tie the string to something high so the apple hangs down. We hang ours in the garage on the bars on the ceiling that the garage door goes up on. Then you have to keep your hands behind your back and try to eat the apple. Its really hard, but fun.
Another game that we play is...we split up in teams of two. The 1st person from each team puts a balloon in between their thighs/knees and jumps across the room to the other side and once they get across they put their balloon on a hard chair or ground and has to sit on it to pop it and once they pop their balloon the next person to goes and its a race to see which team can get done 1st. If your balloon falls you have to go back and try again.
Another game is called the pumpkin game. This game is played in teams that race to be the first to pass the miniature pumpkins without using their hands. Make two teams. Each team gets a mini pumpkin which the first person places under their chin. The mini pumpkin is passed down the line, person to person by holding it under their chin and passing it this way, no hands allowed!! The person holding the mini pumpkin can stand in front of the next person for easier passing. All teams start at the same time, first team to get their pumpkin to the end of the row and back again to the starting person is the winner.

Well, there are tried and true games. Bobbing for apples. Halloween-themed variations on pin the tail on the dnkey (like pin the tail on the cat). A Halloween-themed charades game. A Halloween treasure hunt. A story-in-the-round (in case you don't know, one person starts the story then passes of to the person to their left or right, each person adding to the story as you keep playing). Telling fortunes. Playing with a Ouija board. Hold a seance. Stuff like that.
If you can set up a portable DVD player outside, something you might want to try finding is Atmosfear. It's a board game, originally released for VCR as Nightmare. Each person plays a certain character (and an Atmosphere night can be a good excuse for a costume party, send out character info and what character each person is to play and they come dressed as that character; characters include a poltergiest, a witch, a mummy, a vampire, a werewolf, etc.) and the goal of the game is to collect all the keys to reach the middle. Once their you have to pull your nightmare out and then stop the DVD to win. But you're not only playing the other players, you're also playing the Gatekeeper, the guy on the DVD running the game. When the time is up and no one has won, you all loose.
Of course Atmosphere isn't something you can download, it's gonna cost you a little to get. I think it's under $30 bucks. Ouija boards could also cost money if you buy them in the store, but you can make them out of construction paper (or a large sheet of poster paper), a marker, and a tape dispenser (preferably the scotch tape dispenser that's clear and has a hole caused by the part that holds the roll of tape). All you do is take the marker and wite the alphabet in two rows, one above the other, the numbers 1-0 under the second row of letters, Yes, No, Hello, and Goodbye in the corners (one for each corner).
To play you use the tape dispenser as a planchette, placing it flat on the board so that it slides easily. Whatever letter, number, or word falls into the hole when the planchette stops is what the "spirit" is saying. At least two people must be touching the planchette, and all touching it should have a light touch. Always remember to be polite. Begin by saying hello. Always, ALWAYS, end by saying goodbye. And don't be rude to the "spirits."

Ha ha im 13 too and Im like doing the same thing. I LOVE scarying my friends and trick or treaters on Halloween. If you can, get a walkie talkie set and hide one in a carved pumpkin and use the other one to make weird noises and talk. IT may not scare your friends but it ALWAYS gets the kids coming to your house. I think I got a 16 year old guy to scream and run away last year... he was by himself for some reason.lol. And talking trying to scare each other and stuff is always fun!

The mummy wrapping contest sounds fun. A spooky scavenger hunt would be fun, too. I don't have a list handy, but you can hide odds and ends around the grounds and give clues to where they could be.
It's likely to be cold, so have some hot cocoa or cider for guests.

Ooo have a seance and play Ouija! Just set up a folding card table and use a black table cloth and top with candles. Set up some lawn torches too if you have any. Surround yourselves with jack-o-lanterns too. Oh, and everyone will be dressed up of course, so it'll be great fun. Make sure all in attendance are 'true believers' though. 8P

Ouija boards are about $16 at walmart if you don't have one. There's instructions inside, but here's some better ones.
