I love and respect Catholics. I enjoy the way they worship.
Jesus said: For he that is not against us is on our part. For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward

It is not with adherents of Catholicism that I have a problem with as we all make our own decisions in what we choose to believe in. It is the teachings of the Catholic church that I totally disagree with. It does some charitable good such as helping needy ones, which I think is far short of what they are able to do, but it is Christian dogma which is so far removed from true bible teaching which is wrong. When Catholicism was born, three centuries after Christ and took upon itself as the role of Christianity, it infused itself with and adopted non Christian and pagan beliefs. More recently the church has admitted error of "engraved in stone Christian doctrines" for which opposing "heretics" were tortured and sentenced to death. To me the saying: "That which is crooked cannot be made straight" applies to the church. Jesus taught the two greatest commandments, the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. I don't see this within a religion which continually adheres to and teaches such ungodly dogma.

As a Spirit of Truth-led Jesusonian, I work with many Catholic amd Mormon and Protestant Christians in conservative Pro-Light and Pro-Life projects. All of them are good Christians.
The problem is with the Catholic religion, not the Catholic person. The "Pope", Mary worship, praying to saints, celebate non-married priests all must go, and they will if that church is to survive another 100 years.
Priesthood of all Believers in Jesus; normal marriage to have more Children for our Father God !!

It's not Catholics but Catholicism, the Vatican is politically and morally corrupt. It negotiates Concordats with fascist dictators and even did so with the Nazi's, it has been the cause of millions of Africans dying by hindering the distribution of condoms in the midst of an Aids epidemic and by putting about the notion that condom use is a sin and that the Aids virus can pass through condoms, all nonsense and genocidal nonsense at that.

It's odd how I often feel like Paul did in Romans 9. He knew that a lot of his kinsmen in the flesh were wrong, and had a deep desire that they would be brought into the truth. I was brought up in the RCC, escaping only by the grace of God. I truly feel a sadness that those within it will not listen to truth, but I cannot second guess God's will for them.
Still, it does often make me sad.

Its not Catholics- but Catholicism. There are so many things you believe and do that go against the Bible.I just think you should call yourselves Catholics, not Christians. Your roots are in sun worship, you bow to idols, you hail a human woman, you confess to a human who in turn gives you absulution (like he can), etc. thats my reason

Because they are either unable or unwilling to accept the truth ... and because the leadership of the Catholic church has traditionally done a lousy or non-existent job of promoting that truth to non-Catholics.

For most American christians, it's because they have no knowledge of the history of their religion. They think that the way they practice their religion is the only right way to practice it, and again, that falls on them not knowing anything about their religion or where it came from. Put simply, they don't realize that they are "protestants." They think Jesus sanctioned THEIR practice, and the original doesn't count.

Because the Catholics claim to be Christians when in fact they are not, the teachings of the Catholic Church are steeped in Paganism.
