Where in the Bible does it specifically condemn calling God a Goddess or Divine Mother?

I am a spiritual Christian, and wish to call my God this though previously have said God I associate with Goddess better.

I am male, fortunately though I know God is Unconditional Love so I can call him a God or a Goddess, I just wanted to know what verses specifically condemn such and no one was able to conclusively quote an exact verse that specifically condemns it.

It is laughable and sad to think that God would become angry with someone for saying Mother and Goddess. Are we really that blind and patriarchal?

God is neither male or female. God is the spirit of love. I'm guessing it doesn't matter if you call God father or mother, but I'd just stick with the traditional father.

There are so many scriptures in the Bible related to God being male that I could hardly list them. If you have been Christian long, I am sure you know this! As a Christian, I am aware that the one who died for me was Jesus Christ... The scriptures calling God father are abundant! How can you be a christian if you want to change the word of God? How can you believe in Christ, if you do not believe the Bible? If God were female.. it would say goddess since those are titles not names. The name of God is male in all the languages it has been translated in. Feminism has no place in the Christian church! Equal rights for everyone has nothing to do with changing the word of god to fit our own agenda!

It doesnt specify but its infered from when Jesus says his father, making it known to people that the divine is a male being. However in the orignal bibles and the gnostic bibles at the beginging of creation God didnt know what to put on the earth and needed help so he called upon the Goddess Sophie for aid and together they made everything, later on mary magdalene was said to be the goddess incarnate like jesus was the god incarnate. Whether this is true or not isnt known but whether it is or not it goes to show you that they tried to keep a goddess in the religion but was eventually taken out.

Exodus 20:7 is your answer.
Why don't you address all your friends and relatives by different names and see how far that will take you. Pretty soon they would start calling you names you don't like.
The measure of a christian is through obedience not disobedience. So be very careful how you proceed with your steps with God. He will do absolutly nothing to you as long as you live. But then again he can remove his blessing form you and allow you to proceed through the path of your choosing.
Seems to me you have an ax to grind against the male gender.

The answer to the question about why God is referred to with masculine terms in the Bible really has only one answer: This is the way God has chosen to reveal Himself to us. God is never described with sexual characteristics in the Scriptures, but He does consistently describe Himself in the masculine gender. While He contains all the qualities of both male and female genders, He has chosen to present Himself with an emphasis on masculine qualities of fatherhood, protection, direction, strength, etc. Metaphors used to describe Him in the Bible include: King, Father, Judge, Husband, Master, and the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

There are those who would like to blur this emphasis in some of the newer Bible translations, but it is very dangerous to tamper with the way God has chosen to reveal Himself. He most certainly does not intend to minimize women, since men and women are revealed as made in His image and of equal value to Him. But it remains that He is Father, not Mother, and even in the Incarnation chose to come to us as a man, Jesus Christ. One famous Christian scholar, C. S. Lewis, has suggested that gender is far deeper than our human distinctions reveal. He suggests that God is so masculine that we all are feminine in relation to Him. If this is true, it might explain why the church is referred to as the bride of Christ, though it is composed of both men and women.

Trust me, the fundamentalists will find some scripture that they interpret as against it. Just more nonsense. In my religion we refer to God as Father/Mother or Mother/father it makes no difference.

I don't think you will be condemned. You will just not be able to understand the pre-mortal, mortal and post mortal roles of gender

John 4:24-God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God is not a He or she,He's a spirit. We call God He cuase men generally get more respect than women and we want to respect God.

You are not a Christian because you do not follow Jesus who said that in this manner you are to pray, "Our Father who is in Heaven. Holy is Your name."

Stop fooling yourself and call yourself what you are... pagan.
