and to see family, I think Gordon Brown will put a tax on the air you breath in Britain. I don't drink, smoke,or drive he never made that much out of me. But I think Britain is very expensive.
I lead a very simple life, Have a lovely apartment which is nice and spacious in Britain I would be living in a matchbox, and oh yes the pool and the Beach, as soon as I am done at work I head straight to the Beach where I hardly spend one penny, an ice cream maybe. When I am in Britain and not at work there is nothing else to do but shop. I cant stand the cold and the rain and the thugs, and the goverment, but if my family were ill I would have to return to take care of them, it simply fills me with dread every time I go back, from the minute I step on the plane,I get more and more deppressed the closer I get to England. By the time I get there I am completely flat. Do you think this is why people are leaving England.?

Too right! You have hit the nail on the head. If I could afford it I would leave the UK today! I think more and more people are getting demoralised with the county every day. I worry about the safety of my children and now they are going to bring in new ridiculous taxes all the time.
Have a star.

Stay where you are, we have enough people here that rip the place to shreds as it is (and most of them are either immigrants from the New World, do not work or pay tax or are perfectly content and just have to find something to moan about). If you are earning a decent wage, own your home, can afford a decent car and eat well, drink well and ignore the pikey areas then, especially on sunny warm days, there is nowhere I'd rather live and work. We have one of the most sophisticated, multi-cultural, cosmopolitan and developed cultures of any of the western English speaking nations (far more so than the U.S.A. or Canada, Australia or New Zealand and most definitely South Africa) which is something that makes me proud. Do not mock England as She is still great.

Thank goodness the people who quit England are just the sort that need to bump into fair weather friends like reader.
Be sure to explain how happy you'll all be to reside in that
cheaper world outside the UK.

Read 'The Costa Blanca' by John Betjeman. England is, and probably always will be one of the best countries to live.
Sure people are moving out, but just wait and see how many return!! I hear people all the time telling me how wonderful other countries are. 'Why don't you move there' I ask. They always reply -'Oh I wouldn't want to live there'!!

Brilliant question and yes I agree. I live in Turkey and would never want to go back. This country is predominately Muslim and they have more respect for each other than many our British counterparts.
Enjoy your life and live the dream I say.

You make it sound like the worst place in the world :( i dont think its as bad as you're making out to be honest!

People leave for lots of reasons - it might be for their career, because they don't like the whether or anything.

I'm sorry you don't like Britain but there are lots of places people don't like and they usually just dont go there.
