I've just recently started working for a fitness company (would rather not mention the name). I don't have an issue with the operations manager, however her assistant is the problem. She seems to have an issue with me. Upon filling out my new hire paperwork she became frustrated with me as I was taking my time filling out my tax information. I wanted to be sure everything was filled out correctly, as it is my money and my paycheck. She grew furious because she was off at 6pm and it was now 6:05pm when I reached the pertinent information. She kept pressuring me to hurry up. She was rude to me and demeaning to me in front of other customers and co-workers.

I am 26 years old, she's 20 and the assistant manager. Now I realize age isn't the issue, but the fact that she's younger than I am and higher up, I think she feels she can belittle me anyway. I told the manager about her behavior and how I'm not willing to tolerate it on a daily basis. I'm not the only one to complain about it.

starting Dec 21, 2008 is supposed to be the rapture mentioned in the bible. i heard that there will be an earthshattering eathquake, which many people will die. but, i'm confused. why does everything i read about regarding the rapture point to this date? how do people know about it? doesnt it say in the bible that no one will know the exact date and that it will just happen? if anyone could explain things to me in a Christian perspective i would really appreciate it.

Next Monday evening on Channel 4, Richard Dawkins presents the sequel to his 'Root of all Evil'. This new series is called 'The Enemies of Reason' and in it he attacks such belief systems as new age mysticism and astrology.

Should Channel 4 allow this individual to upset so many people who hold these beliefs dear?

I noticed that some people (whether on this site or in the real world) feel that we must all be the same in order to be considered an American. Now don't get me wrong, I don't object to getting an education, having a succesful career, and being a (just-) law abiding citizen, but on the same side, we should not discriminate against others who feel that this is not the way of life they wish to choose (providing, of course, that the way of life they choose is not harmful to themselves or anyone else).

Since you have made it very clear that you are not to associate with or talk to "apostates", why do you answer questions on R&S that you know are from them? Aren't you afraid that someone might know who you are and turn you in to the elders of your local congregation? I'm just curious, no offense intended at all, but shouldn't you be ignoring us?

I have done a lot of research on the subject and I have come up with a theory, or belief if you will.

God is not a creature, nor a spirit. He is not the creator of the universe, nor is he all-knowing. He is a fictitious character that is a creation of our own imagination. He is the explanation that we have given to everything good and complex, just as satin is the explanation for everything wrong and simple. We have concocted this idea of a high power because in society their is always a leader. Someone responsible for the circumstances in which a society is presently in. So it is only natural to think their is a higher power which governs all. He is inside us, although that does not necessarily make him less important to humanity.

I am fascinated with Asian culture and I have always admired the dedication of geisha's and the skills that they had. They have had to learn things about politics, current events, music, dance, and other specific arts. But a large portion of people have said that they were simply prostitutes...Does anyone know if this is true or not. And where can I find that information? Also, did the meaning of the term Geisha just change over years and that's why they were considered prostitues?
