Scholars say that the big foot belongs to a group called Gigantopithecus Blacki and they are suppose to originated in China.. And they Crossed the land bridge into the Americas along with Early man.... They have been in Indian legend for almost 50,000 years... And I totally believe they do exist in various parts of this earth.. For I personally have had two encounters with a big foot on two separate occasions with more than 30 witnesses and I was close enough to look into its eyes... And there is no way that it was a man dressed to look like a big foot..... And I will never believe that man could move as fast as this creature did.. And on my second meeting with a big foot two of the many witnesses tried to grab that big foot and they were thrown off like they weighed no more then a tissue. And they were thrown more than 10 feet away and landed with a huge thump....... And That big foot took off and no one was able to keep up... And I could not believe that something that big and tall could move so quickly....... So I and many other believes beyond all doubt that the big foot is a very real entity.........................................

I think it is a version of erectus that is more primitive than previously believed. There is some new evidence that likely pushes the date of erectus back since it was contemporary with habilis.

The implication is that much more technologically primitive erectus could have existed and bigfoot is likely descended from one of them. The so-called sagittal crest is likely just a nuchal crest resulting from the animal becoming larger and far more heavily built. Some of the java erectus fossils likely demonstrated nuchal crests and some were likely huge, being 2/3 the size of gigantopithicus blacki which is over sized. I won't go into my long argument why giganto is not as good a candidate as a primitive hominid, whichever one it descended from.
