I do not ever want to be with a man. I refuse to put myself in situaitons were that temptation may arrise, and have made my peace that I will not be with a man. I like to think of myself as emotionally straight, I have only fell for women, and I believe that at the end of the day an orgasm is an oragasm. I however, just want to make sure that I will be able to be able to perform sexually the same way a heterosexual man would.

I'm a generally happy person and tend to have many friends and a strong family prescence. So even if I was to die a virgin, I believe I could be happy, however I would rather have a family, produce children etc.

You can't change your sexual orientation, so no.

Intead of sacrificing your intire life and having it be fruitless, try to accept yourself. It will work out better.

You sound depressed. Please find a therapist who is gay-positive and discuss these issues with her. As sensible people sbove have said, I regret to say that your sexual orientation is pretty much hard wired and no matter how hard you try you will find it dsifficult to sustain a low for a man.

If you were to have a family with a guy you will surely end up getting divorced and then it will affect the kids as well. It is perfectly possible to fulfil your desire for a family with a loving lesbian partner by using a sperm donor and artifical insemination.

Do not believe these reparatover ministries types, their methods border on mental abuse and in all studies they have never converted anyone to being straight. They might teach someone through fear to sublimate their feelings but it is not a long temr tenable propostion and can lead to terrible unhappiness and blighted lives of you and your loved ones and aso sadly, sucide.

Witness the catholic priests who even though thry are men of faith who had vcommitted to celibacy etc still couldn't keep their hands of the vulnerable in their flock. If thry had been allowed to express their gayness, they would probably never interfered with those lads - thry would have found adult lovers instead.

Have therapy to make you prouds again to being a lesbian please.

With love

If you are attracted to men and wish to remain celibate, I think that's fine. If you are attracted to men and go with women to appear straight, this is truly messed up and unfair to the women you become involved with.

I am curious about what you mean when you say you have a strong family presence...?

No, for a start it is not possible to change your sexual orientation. It could also really screw you up and you would most likely become depressed or suicidal. In time you will except, and if not I suggest you seek help from a psychiatrist (that is not a religious fundamentalist).

Now why on earth would you do THAT? There are a whole bunch of people who decide to "stop being gay". And they pretend for the rest of their life that they are attracted to the opposite sex. They live a lie that benefits nobody. Accept who you are and soon others will too.

You can't change who you are attracted to. You can choose to have sex with people of the opposite sex but that is the only choice you have and it doesn't necessarily make you straight if you do choose it.

Love yourself as you are and you won't have to sacrifice your happiness or anything else.
Peace,
Jenn

You can suppress your desires for a time, but in the long term there is a very good chance you could end up clinically depressed and suicidal. Don't hurt yourself that way. It isn't worth it.

You can deny your sexual urges. Priests (theoretically) and nuns do that. It doesn't matter what your orientation is. Whether you can actually be happy that way is another matter. But will that make you "straight"? Probably not.

So rather than do what comes natural to you, you would prefer to lie to yourself and the woman you choose to be with? That is moronic...be who you are and don't try to be something you are not!

You can sacrifice your happiness to be celibate. You'll never be straight.
