Nothing beats a mars bar, except maybe Crunchie or Caramilk, right?

Im going to get my morning shower now (thanks for the help with breakfast) and I cannot decide which CD to lsiten to.

My most loved on is 'Children of Eden' which is from the musical.
Or should I listen to the local country station?

The connection is: God wants me to be clean instead of dirty, but He doesnt want me to listen to bad music.

I am going through the process of moving from these groups to the Catholic Church. I have found that when I really started to question the plain fact is that the bible interpretation in these groups is so plain wrong.

However I was involved with them for so many years and have so many sincere friends who love God and Christ and are good examples of how to live the life.

I now feel conflicted because I feel like all the time I spent in these groups was just a waste of time. If what they teach isisnt true then what was the point.

I also feel pretty bad that they manipulated me so much (not abusive but more mental) and made me feel like such a faiure.

Talk about Catholic Guilt - Protestant Guilt is a million times heavier. They talk about love but the get you in and slam you to your knees.

How do I deal with that, any evangelicals who converted found a similar thing

I live in Canada and we always say 'you're welcome'. I am not used to getting 'uh-huh' as a response when I say thank you to people in USA. Are people being rude or is this just your way of speaking?

No matter how often I deal with people in the US, I still can't get used to it and I'm taken aback each time I hear it and can't help but wonder why they're being rude.

I was on another site and somebody has that picture as their profile picture. I reported it as abuse and the owner of that site pretty much says that anything is ok. So I quit the site after being there for a year.

These really are the Last Days where people will not endure sound doctrine.

My other question is...Why even have a "Report Abuse" button when anything goes?

They were only subject to the seven universal laws. In addition, according to your own beliefs, Jesus freed you from the law. So why are so many of you preaching the 10 commandments, trying to put them up in schools, courts, and other public places? You were only subject to seven, so why try to enforce and promote three additional commandments that were only meant for Jews?

I suspect that what I have experienced as a direct communing with the Divine force is what the Christians call 'The Holy Spirit'...so in my mind, the one thing about Christianity I can't argue with is the existance of 'The Holy Spirit', the rest of the saga is up for debate...hope I am somewhat coherent about this...probably not though...

Any thoughts???

My friend had an abortion yesterday. At that statement, leave all your personal ethics, biases, and presuppositions aside and read the story.

While she was walking into the clinic, she was harassed and heckled by the protesters outside. They called her a sinner and a murderer, and as she pushed to get past them her cell phone dropped out of her pocket. She didn't notice it.

She went inside, did what she did, and was once again met by hackles and accusations as she left. When she got home she realized her cell phone was missing.

Turns out the protesters took it and called everyone on her contact list, including her parents and grandparents, to let them know that she had an abortion. I had a voicemail from them when I got out of work. Let's just say their words weren't kind.

Is this theft and invasion of privacy something we can all say is wrong? Or do any of you think that is justifiable?

because you are the largest voting demographic in my democratic country and some of your beliefs are harmful to the development of my nation and the freedoms granted by my founding fathers. Do you all realize that if you would just keep your religious views to yourselves, instead of trying to legislate them into laws that force everyone else to accept them, then you really wouldn't have any opposition to your beliefs? If you could live, and let live, then atheists would have no reason to challenge your views?

Have you noticed that the majority of the Q&A's here are NOT directed towards non-proselytizing religions? There's a reason for that, they leave other people alone.

I know you feel you are charged with spreading the news, and that's fine, but can you please not cross the line of trying to legislate your views into law and putting them in public schools and other public places? Can you please limit your religious views to those that want and accept them?

Countless lesbians and gay men have stood before ordained members of the clergy and committed their lives to one another in marriage. Each time a public official, or presidential candidate says he or she 'does not believe in gay marriage' is this not also an assertion that he or she disagrees with the religious beliefs of those couples, witnesses, and clergy who consider these unions as sacred in the eyes of God as any marriage between a man and a woman?

There are many wicked people on earth..Satan is not worried about them..he has them already. So, do you think he is focusing more on people who really want to serve God by confusing them and having them join religions that do not support the diety of God and Christ..or the trinity..therefore they never really come to know Jesus as he is meant to be..They never get the born again feeling..Know what I mean..or am I way out there in left field with this?

I use my 5 senses to tell me if something is real or not. I also use my reason to tell me if something is real or not. Ex.1.- Sugar is sweet. I can detect this with my five senses and I'm sure most people would agree with my conclusions. So, I can presume that sugar is indeed sweet. I accept this as true, valid, and real. Ex. 2- Fire is hot. I don't have to use my 5 senses to see if this is true. I can use my reason. I have burned myself in the past and I have learned that fire is indeed hot. I don't need to use my 5 senses to know this is true, valid, and real.
God-talk is questionable, though. I can't detect God with my five senses. I can reason that "He must exist" just as strongly as I can reason that "There's no way He exists." So, how do you answer the question of "Is God real?" You can't answer the question. There is an answer, it's just that you'll never know it. How does this make you feel?

"Is there a difference between being Catholic and being a Christian?"
There are many denominations, types of churches that would be classified "Christian," such as Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran and so on. But obviously there are members in each one who genuinely have a relationship with Christ, and those who don't.
