Well Zoroastrianism was the first religion that is closely related to Judaism & Islam. They held the belief in one God. But in every culture they had their own religions, what we would consider Pagan. I don't think that there is any one true religion. But according to our standards today of our 3 mayjor religions, Zorastrianism would have been the first. They all seemed to have copied after it. The reason I don't include Christianity is because there is over whelming proof that their theology is very closely related to Ancient Egypts mythology.

The first religious debate, about which religion was true can be found in the book of Genesis. On the one side you had sun worshipers, primarily agrarian folks that lived most of their lives during daylight. On the other side were moon worshipers (along with the pantheon of stars), primarily hunters, and descendants of an older culture that lived most of their lives at night.

The former argued that even at the fullest of the moon, the moon was pale in the light daylight. The latter argued that light was needed during the night, not the day, when it was already light outside.

It's an allegory. You have to understand that both groups thought that light came from the eye, not to the eye. Even Aristotle believed this as 'true'.

The debate still goes on today. Have you ever heard anyone compare God, to an absentee landlord? Or, have you ever heard someone say that Satan can enlighten you when you need knowledge?

Even Jesus spoke as if light came from the eye. But, he spoke mostly in parables didn't he? The true religion is an allegory. A mental image. A artistic masterpiece. True Religion has little to do with theology, or science.

Amen.

Of IMPure and pure religions, "pure religion" notably arrived "undefiled" and remained "unspotted" in a come and go "visit" to all those "afflicted" with a bad case of life(grace) + death(law) = a dead end. James 1:27. For law is "both good and evil", which ends with evil. Our Father, deliver us from "evil" (Mt 6:13)... we are delivered from the "law" (Rom 7:6).

Firstly "pure" wisdom from "above" ("Grace unto you" from "God our Father") is also then (when firstly pure) notably firstly peace-able of the seven things grace notably is: James 3:17:
1. Peace-able
2. Gentle
3. Easy to be entreated
4. Full of mercy (no sacrifice at all)
5. Full of good fruits (no bad at all)
6. Without partiality (no respect of persons)
7. Without hypocrisy (no say and not also do)

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Nature worship, practiced by people all the way back to the stone age. There is no "true" religion. It's all in the superstitious imagination. You can imagine one thing, I another. Neither one is more true or more false than the other.

Yes,early on the sun was worshiped as was fire. Primitive humans were in awe of the big hot globe in the sky, and fire was viewed as both a gift and a threat. Since they could control neither, they sought to placate each. Thus religion, meaning beliefs tying one back to a god or gods, was born.

Well most people don't know because they didn't know that it was really religion. They just thought that their spirituality was how everyone lived. The native Americans didn't know they had a religion until the europeans arrived.
