I honestly do not know many muslims but the one family I do know is very nice and hardworking. I am friends with theier son too.....

How many of your first opinion when you see a muslim or a lady with a headwrap is "terrorist"?

What if a muslim got on a plane?

I know I have sinned in my life and I need to fix this. I have been with my fiancé for 9 years and we have a child together, I have also been married twice before, although I have not been with my ex for 10 years, the divorce is just getting finalized. I also have some serious medical conditions and I need to get on my finance’s health insurance immediately so we need to get married ASAP.
If I go straight to the church with this they will make me wait until the two previous marriages are annulled making me wait aprox. 15 months for each annulment and about $1500.each.

My priest made mention one day at church that if you were married outside the church you would have to wait a year before you can be married in the catholic church.

So my question is:
Should I just go down to the J.P., get on the health insurance and wait a year and have it blessed by the church or should I go straight down to the church and wait the time allotted and be without the medical assistance I need?

I understand the dictionary version of the word. I understand "outsiders" understanding of the word. But you DO realize that if we call OURSELVES that that we might have a defintion of the word for OURSELVES? So why do people tell us that its not the "correct" version of the word?

I have a sweet tooth, but don't forget the crunchy munchies!
I am an advocate of frequent bathing.
I'm really not too interested in women, but I lost my head over one in the end.

So you helped me with breakfast, and the shower, but now what should I wear?

God wants me to be modest but He wants me to be clean. Its hot today and I will get all sticky and smelly if I wear too much. What do you suggest? (please keep in mind that I have to be at work in 6 hours and my work requires me to wear jeans)

I just saw another race fan try to say that Tony Stewart (best race car driver around, and the sexiest, too :-) needs to "grow up and be a man"--meaning not cuss or talk about celebrating a win by drinking lots of beer--by quoting a Bible verse that barely relates at all.

I can say I like a driver or think a driver's acting like a jerk without having to crack open a religious book or post Pagan slogans, you know? And I'm still Pagan even if I go a few minutes without mentioning it. So why does anyone think putting a Bible verse in everything is effective or helpful?

Me I spend maybe 1 hour a day 5 days a week and maybe 2-3 hours on Saturdays. This stuff is addictive I won't deny that. I try not to make this an important part of my daily life. I want to know about the other people that are "regulars" in here. What does this R and S sutff mean to you? How much time do you spend in here? Do you feel you have some type of relationship with the others that frequent this site?

If God invented man surely 'It' is not a man itself. You cannot invent yourself. Or invent something that already exists.

Doesn't the fact that 'God' is said to be male just reflect the attitudes of those that wrote the bible. Ie 'men have power and control'?

I don't mean to offend anyone I'm just curious. I will delete my question if it causes upset to too many people.

wasn't it the most advanced, most enlightened,, street light, running water, and actually treating the sick rather than killing them as Christians use to do at the time..

does anyone here actually deny this...

and don’t give me the "Muslims killed all the Christians" crap because you and i know it is not true.. it is the Christians who killed and mass murdered the Muslims at the end of the 700 years..
Christians lived peacefully and happily in Muslim Spain and were way better off than all of the Christians in Europe...

even some rich European Christians sent their kids to get an education in Muslim Spain..

who here denies this..???

Witch Vow
by Leo Matrello

Here me, help me, Holy One,
My witch life has just begun.
I dedicate myself to thee,
My faith shall be fierce and free.

Make me worthy, make me wise,
Liberate me from all lies.
Guide me in thy Goddess light,
Illuminate each dark night.

I light the candle, I taste the wine,
I purify the air with incense fine.
I make the pentagram with my knife,
I declare my witchhood with my life.

I offer myself in naked truth,
Grant me wisdom and the joy of youth.
Upon thy altar my soul is bare,
I leave myself in thy loving care.

Countless lesbians and gay men stand before ordained members of the clergy who consider their marriage sacred in the eyes of God. Does legally defining marriage as something in which only a couple consisting of one man and one woman endorse particular religious concepts of that word and that union as valid and others invalid?

Why do other Christains think it is O.K. to use Jesus Nailed to the cross as decoration? Isn't that creepy when you see people have a dieing/dead Jesus on their wall? When Jesus comes back do you think he would want to see that? Do you think it's cruelty toward Jesus by Christains? I asked this last time and no one could give me a answer.

As Witches, we tend to recognize that no TWO Witches holds the SAME set of beliefs and that we each have our own views and ways of acknowledging Goddess/God. I have ALWAYS been interested in knowing how OTHERS view the different celebrations on the Wheel of the Year. What are YOUR Lughnassadh stories and Myths about this particular Sacred Day?

Brightest Blessings to ALL,

When the information concerning this later proved to be totally absurd.

(CNN reporter Brian) TODD: In fact, a U.S. government official familiar with the investigation now says there were valid explanations for all four incidents in that bulletin and no charges will be brought in any of these cases.

(on camera): TSA officials first told us the incident with Sara Weiss got put on that bulletin because of a systems error. But they also say they were right to put all these incidents on that alert because whenever they find suspicious objects, they have to run them to ground and tell law enforcement officials to look out for items like that.

The story also featured an interview with Weiss (pictured at top), the 66-year-old woman who had a leaky ice pack in her luggage visiting family in San Diego, and she confirmed that a federal agent asked her: "Do you know Osama bin Laden?" And you thought the government had stopped looking for him!

I'd like to request that anyone asnswering the question please explain his or her answers. I'm not interested in whether you are pro-choice or pro-life. Rather, my goal is to look at the reasons you use to support your position.

Here's what I want to know:

1. When do you believe that a zygote/embryo/fetus/baby can first be categorized as a HUMAN life? (conception? birth? when it could survive outside the womb?, etc.) At what point of fetal development would it no longer be acceptable to have an abortion?

2. Are there exceptions to when it would be okay to have an abortion? For instance, would you allow an exception if the mother's life was in danger or if the pregnancy was the result of rape?

3. Did you or someone you know have an abortion? Did this change your view on the subject? (This part may be uncomfortable for some people, so feel free not to answer this part of the question.)

4. Be sure to explain your answers.
