Am I the only one who's noticed that heterosexuals love to come on here and put LGBT peeps down? And why are so many of them Christians who wish to "save us from our sins"? I'm opinion to everyone's opinions, but I personally think they should bug off if they don't support us

I'm mormon and i have heard some crazy things people have said about that are just plain lies. i mean if you don't understand it fine but when you lie about it people who maybe want to join here lies and then don't join. we aren't all that bad.
why would they lie

What I mean by this is, yes it's one thing to label yourself an Atheist on yahoo answers but are you willing to tell your entire family/friends ect, know that you are an Atheist? Or are you afraid of Social reaction? Also based on where you live in the country are you afraid to be an Atheist, I myself live in Texas and have been threatened by so called "God Fearing Christians". Anyone have similar experiences?

Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus, and God will grant you everlasting life.Then read your Bible, obey it and lead others to Him.

ive never been to new orleans, but my tax money paid the welfare that 48% of them were on, and that bought the houses that they lost in the hurricane, and now 2 years later, my tax money is still paying for motels and apartments for the ones that wont get jobs because they are "victims" and they need our love and support,so doesnt that kinda make me a katrina victim too

Why do athiests get mad and uptight with Christians when they ask serious questions on here? Don't get me wrong I have nothing against anybody, but why do some athiests and such get mad about these things? So what, certain people believe...they're allowed to have their own opinions just as you are. I suppose I can understand how Non-Christians think that those who believe go off their rocker and try to preach to the masses. That can get a little strange. But for those of us who believe and keep to ourselves, not trying to change anybody or push Christianity on anybody---why do we get bitched at for posting in the Religion and Spirituality section? Isn't that what it's here for?

I'm just curious, i don't intend to belittle your beliefs as I myself am quite interested in what you teach. I just want some things clearing up that I do not understand.

Do you believe Jesus is a title or a name? I ask this because Matthew 1:21 says:

"She will give birth to a son, and you must call his name Jesus" (Matthew 1:21)

And why does he have many names, like Michael the archangel?

Another thing that confused me is that in Isaiah 7:14, the prophecy of Jesus being born of a virgin it says she [Mary] will call him Immanuel.

"Therefore the LORD himself will give YOU men a sign: Look! The maiden herself will actually become pregnant, and she is giving birth to a son, and she will certainly call his name Immanuel." (Isaiah 7:14)

Why are the names different if Jesus himself said "All the things written in the law of Moses and in the Prophets and Psalms about me much be fulfilled." (Luke 24:44)

Is it possible to give away knowledge? I don't believe so. It may be possible to give away books, papers, files, etc. But knowledge is something that must be found for yourself and wisdom only comes after knowledge. Any thoughts?

Hypethetical Question - Wouldn't be surprised if it happened though.

We wake the day after the elections and one of our new President's first orders is that all Bibles need to be turned in and destroyed. If you are caught in posession of a Bible the penalty will be death. What will you do?

1) Disobey the mandate, keep your Bible, and risk death.
2) Obey the Authorities and turn in your Bible.
3) Do something else.

i've been a cheerleader since middle school and now i just got sent home from summer practice with a note to my parents... I opened it and it said: "Due to recent revelations regarding your daughter's choice of lifestyle, we regret to inform you that she may no longer participate.... blah blah blah"

then later on they explain that my sexuality "poses a possible threat to the other girls on the team."

I can't even bear to show this to my parents...

is this whole thing even legal??

My computer is new, and its always freaking on me. It always has pop-ups, it goes wack and turns off on me...I dont know why..The only sites I visit is just this one, Myspace and my msn...I dont click on any pop ups or anything...so what gives? I dont want any viruses or anything...But I dont get how this can happen, if Im a careful person when it comes to the internet. And im really not dumb on the computer. I had 2 years of classes on it..High school, but still...

AND I asked here just because I trust more people here.
